Visibility of vessels in the App depends on AIS signal availability. If a particular vessel is out of our AIS coverage zone, VesselFinder displays her last reported position and updates it as soon as the vessel comes into range. Completeness and accuracy of the information provided cannot be guaranteed.

5 ★ Just had the update, can't tell which way a ship is facing when docked. Used to be able to see relative size of ships, big 399m container ship looks the same as a 199m ship ...not useful at all.
1 ★ A revamp. Not sure if I'm impressed or not. What I find a bit disconcerting, almost daily updates since the revamp! Makes me feel all if not good....
1 ★ Updated now the land is gone doesnt show and satellite view doesnt focus stays blurry
2 ★ Map disapeared after the update so now it's useless. I can see the vessels but not the map. It was great before

5 ★ If you have a view of shipping lanes it's invaluable. Lots of information and pictures of the vessels. Fascinating to see wherebtheve come from and going to. Was particularly helpful when in lockdown. You realised there was still a world out there!
1 ★ Doesn't allow for fixing/showing the observer's position, much less distance and bearing to a target. So can hardly be used for visually identifying ships from shore.
3 ★ I've used this for a few years and loved it, just had to change mobile and reinstalled vessel locator app but now it won't load, mob is android 10 on a umidigi a9 pro 6gb 128gb help
1 ★ Disgusted with the app. Tapped on some of the ships in the Atlantic and the app kept on asking for the satellite location. Just have reinstalled to get the app working again.
1 ★ I have just walked over the port area where I live and on one the berths there are two large cargo vessels. According to this app there are NO vessels in the port and it reports the actual position of the vessels as 30 miles away. Useless, just going to uninstall now.
1 ★ Keeps crashing two seconds after I open the app. Haven't been able to use the app yet because of this. Time to delete it.
1 ★ there is no gps locator on this, but it does seem to remember the last location. there is another app with this exact name making it confusing at times. if it can't find a ship it says - satellite position and nothing more. it seems to happen to ships inland and in the middle of the ocean. more often than not however, it can't seem to find anything about the main ships out in the ocean. it makes it really frustrating to use.
