Description

Do you know how many apps can use your camera? How many apps can use your contacts? Which apps have access to your storage including photos and files? Which apps know about your exact location?

Permission Manager helps you control your privacy by providing you such information. It analyze installed third-party apps and list them by their permissions.

Permission Manager list apps in following groups:

1- Access your camera:
Apps that can access your camera, can use camera even if app is not actively in use. They can run background task which allows them to take picture or record video without your notice. In short they can use your camera to Spy on you. Permission manager list all apps that can use camera and allow you to revoke permission by opening app settings.

2- Access your phone contacts:
Apps that can access phone contacts often uploads them to a third-party server which is very dangerous if app is not trust worthy. This information is sold to advertisers putting your privacy at stake. You have to be very careful about which apps can have access to contacts. Permission manager tells you about all application that can access contacts so that you can decide and protect your privacy.

3- Access device storage:
Apps that can use device storage can access your photos, videos, whatapp shared images, files, downloaded images, private images and what not. They can secretly upload your private files to their servers and can use it for whatever purposes. Stop untrusted apps from compromising your privacy. Use Permission manager to detect them and revoke storage permissions to protect your privacy.

4- Access SMS:
Many apps use SMS for authentication, which is a good way of authentication. But after successful authentication, you didn't get a chance to revoke SMS permission. All apps that can access SMS, intercept all of your incoming SMS including SMS from your bank or any other sensitive SMS. Permission manager tells you about all apps that can access SMS so that you can revoke unnecessary SMS permissions.

5- Access your exact location:
Apps that can access your exact location can be used as a tracker to Spy on you. They can track your real-time location, your traveling patterns, your traveling hours, the routes you take to reach places etc. Stop those apps from tracking you, use Permission manager to detect them and revoke unnecessary location permissions.

6- Guess your place:
Apps that can guess your location might not know your current exact location, but can guess your location by you last locations. They can also track you and collect information about your traveling behaviors. Control your privacy by using Permission manager and detect such applications.

7- Record Audio:
Apps that can record audio have access to microphone and can record your conversations. They can then upload your private conversations to their servers and hence they are a big privacy threat. You have to be careful while allowing microphone access to apps. Permission manager provides you list of all apps that can record audio so you can control your privacy by deciding which apps can have access to microphone.

8- Use Body Sensors:
Apps that can use body sensors can collect information about your routines and walking habits and can sale to advertisers. Only trusted apps should have access to Body sensors. Permission manager helps you revoking unnecessary body sensor permission.

Permission manager doesn't need any permission, doesn't run any background process and have no dependency on Internet. It maintains a record of user installed third-party apps (default or system apps are not included) and extract information from it. In case of app install or uninstall, permission granted or revoked, you need to manually refresh app by using top right refresh icon.
