Welcome to BoxCalc 1.0, released in August2022. It is an easy to use mobile APP for calculating cost of corrugated box with features like sending offer to the customers by E mail or by WhatsApp, calculating the material requirement for the purpose of raising indent with the suppliers. The App is designed to input the size of the box either in inch or cm. In case of a box which is not U meet we can still calculate with correction by giving board size at Reel Size and Cutting Size. In Cutting size we have to choose CS1 for such cases. or the size of the board required to make the box. Measurements can be entered in inches, centimeters. The default values for flute height is 40%, production wastage is 5%. While calculating the board size from the input of box size, the reel trimming allowance (RSA) is taken as 1” and for the cutting size including a normal Flap of 1.5” (CSA) is taken as 2.5”. When the flute format is changed from NORMAL to Broad or E flute the default values flute height can be changed from 40% to the required value by the user. For normal flute we have taken 40% for a worn out machine. For new corrugation machine it can be set to 35%. After arriving at the board size, the user can either opt for suitable number of plies, and whether all layers are made of the same material or they differ from each other. The values like GSM, BF of the paper used for each layer along with either purchase rate or the selling rate of the Kraft paper can be entered. The user can add partitions and separators to the box calculations. Partitions will be of same GSM/BF/RATE. Likewise separators will also be of same GSM/BF/Rate for all layers. The flute% is taken as 40%. If the flute is changed, an experienced corrugators can modify the result by required %. Provisions for other add on like Calico costing, Transport, Printing, miscellaneous charges are available. The calculated values can be saved with any unique description for the type of the box for easy calculation and recall at later stage. Should the APP is sluggish due lot of saved items, all recalls can be reset and App can be restored for faster operation The APP steps are self explanatory.
