3 ★ Used to be a clean app with one simple purpose, which is why I choose Reminder. New version comes with added functionality I don't need and a less user-friendly interface. Also contains quite obstrusive ad placement now. It's not bad for what it strives to be, but other apps can do the same things better, and since I don't need the funtionality bloat I'll be looking for a replacement app.
2 ★ Requires battery saver exclusion to keep up with the reminders. I opted not to grant it and when I opened the app later, all the missed reminders went off and I could not figure out how to silence them (at 6:45am, with my wife asleep next to me and toddler in next room). I pushed all volumes to silent and the alarm continued. No notification bar to push dismiss, no popup to dismiss, just alarm from nowhere. I finally closed the app from recent and running apps list and the alarm died with it.
1 ★ I used to love this app, really simple, easy to use, very nice GUI, and overall very nice. But now they had this dumb "Taskeet" thing and I just can't recommend it anymore. First, they added MASSIVE ads (before they were barely noticeable banner ads), The GUI is confusing and clunky, and now there's paid subscriptions they push on you, and they also locked most themes. It's just become like every other app. That's what made this app special, but now it's bad. Go somewhere else, guys.
3 ★ Update: Developer thankfully took negative reviews seriously after the "upgrade" and it's working better and closer to old Reminders now. Still a problem clearing a notification, where every action you dismiss closes the notification panel and forces you to repeat pulling down that panel that for every dismissal, beyond annoying. The only positives from the update I've seen are a more modern UI and an improved calendar format to easily find reminders on a specific date, but that's it.
1 ★ Horrible upgrade!!! App disappeared from my home screen without notice!! I thought I deleted it by mistake. Spent hours trying to figure out how to undelete it only to find out after nearly a full day there is a new app to download. Data migration of old reminders is stuck -- been two days with spinning circle. Will somebody tell me how to get my old reminders from the previous version into the new app? I have no reminders now for two days and can't remember them all. No notice at all!!!!!
2 ★ Wow the new upgrade is a disaster. The alarm won't dismiss by pressing the volume or power button, have to manually do it. Before when pressing the postpone, it would at least stop ringing but it just keeps on going now, no way to slient the notification unless i mark it as done or complete the postpone. It just gets annoying, keeps on ringing. The widget theme does not support dark theme, it was so compact and nice looking before, it looks so bad now
3 ★ I have been using the updated design for a bit, and I think it is also a bit of a step backwards in some respects. It looks nicer now, and the added features aren't intrusive for me. But the thing that is making it more annoying is that I can no longer "mark as done" from the notification in one click. It opens up a dialogue box at the bottom that forces me to "mark as done" twice. I also really don't like the gigantic ad that appears that I can't dismiss, and there is no ad-free version to buy.
1 ★ Worst "update" ever! App was great and easy to use before update, now it's a confusing mess that keeps pushing adds and subscriptions on you. I originally downloaded the app to set reminders to clock in and out of my shifts. I guess I'll have to look for a different app that's easier to use, that doesn't push adds and subscriptions. Would definitely NOT recommend this app
1 ★ I use this app as my sole collection of appointments. Awhile back, this app bugged out & changed all of my reminders to a ridiculous date & time for decades ago. I had to contact each company I had an appointment with to get the accurate info & manually update each reminder. I wish I had learned my lesson. Now Reminder is Taskeet, & I seem to have lost my reminders again. It won't let me use the app without migrating data, but data won't migrate. Don't even know what I've lost this time. :[
1 ★ Woke up the other day only to realize that all my reminders I had set were gone because of this "overhaul". The previous app was reliable, and worked perfectly. Taskeet is horrible. It will either delay my reminders, or they won't come through at all. The old app worked fine. I don't see why it needed to be changed.
1 ★ Interesting update. I used the original app because I liked it's interface, however developer decided to tell me what I should like instead, by removing it and installing a different app. I wish I didn't "update". Will look for a replacement a bit later. Update: what would you like to hear about? I already said what the problem is: UI. Ah, I found the replacement, it's called: To Do Reminder With Alarm.
2 ★ Used to be perfect, simple, no ads, then the unwanted update arrived. Large ad at the top, no one time purchase option to remove, only a subscription for £2 a month, ridiculously priced for the lackluster extra features you receive. Will be switching apps, shame, as the previous version was perfect. The new UI is more modern though, I can appreciate that aspect, but there was no fault with the old one.
1 ★ Used to be such a neat little app. Upgrade is horrific. Hard to navigate in comparison, looks ugly, huge ads that take over the app, pushes subscription, info overload, etc. Needs to be kept simple as it was, just input date, time and event and add reminder/alarm. Now you can't even set notify in advance without making an account. Could have kept the same platform as the previous app and just updated the skin to a more modern look if designers felt it needed an upgrade.
2 ★ My complaint with this update is the enormous ads placed at the top of your task list and the fact that customization settings are now locked behind a paid subscription. By all means ask for a subscription for new features you've added but don't take a free app and deliberately make it worse so you can get people to pay you money. The worst part is you have to have a paid account to set things like the vibration pattern BACK TO SYSTEM DEFAULT. If you don't like their custom vibration too bad
1 ★ After overcoming the unpleasantness of the upgrade experience, App deleted behind your back, you are hit with 70% of the page showing ads and showing one task only. You can't expect people to pay for Premium monthly subscription by making the unpaid experience unpleasant. I would gladly pay for old App - a one time fee. Thankfully I can see my data in BAK file and will write a script to migrate to another app. An opportunity for other apps to support migration from Taskeet.
