Insta360 1.80.1 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows applications to change network connectivity state.

Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.

Allows an application to read or write the system settings.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.

Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.

Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to perform I/O operations over NFC.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to change the Z-order of tasks.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

2 ★ Using this app with the Flow gimbal. Have found a few frustrating issues. 1. The ruler markings for aligning the phone clamp do not align to the center of the phone, nor match the size of the phone clamp, at least on a Pixel 7 or Pixel 8 Pro with display size set to "smaller". 2. On a Pixel 7, object tracking is jerky and the app complains about phone performance and overheating. 3. There is no reason to not support all the lenses on a Pixel. CameraX and Camera2 APIs provide access to these.

2 ★ Using on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. On one hand, this app is missing critical features available in the Samsung camera app, like HDR, shutter speed control and microphone controls. On the other hand, "live mode" absolutely fails to work with the Samsung camera app in pro video mode - no tracking, no zoom control, and overall erratic gimbal behavior. I end up using the Samsung camera app without the insta360 app, i.e. like a dumb gimbal. I'm hoping you'll improve that over time.

1 ★ I created a social edit with the AI feature but it is sped up after the export. if there was a way to fix this bug or transfer the edit file and footage to the pc app, this would help users avoid loss of time. UPDATE response since I can't reply via play store: The acceleration only occurred after export. When I play it back in the app it plays normally. I must have added an effect that caused this to happen because my first export version played back normally.

2 ★ I like the app, but if I download files to my phone to free up space on my camera, I cannot put them back on my camera or transfer directly from my phone to a PC. I have 50GB stuck on my phone I don't want to lose, but I cannot back it up. With recent Android updates, system locations, where files are, are not accessible. Please update!

1 ★ <40% success rate due to device issues/bugs...spent more time trying to power on the device than recording... actively trying to get support but expecting weeks before anything is fixed. For the premium it costs, it has been incredibly buggy and frustrating. I have had 100% success with my Freedconn R3 - 4k camera headset. $150 - $250 less expensive and has recorded terabytes without issue (for insta) The camera will power on, and immediately power off..not due to battery life (+) 2-7, more bugs

1 ★ Was working fine on my s23 ultra until last update. Now at least 3 of the auto edit features gives error messages of "missing video target -4001" I've tried different files and reinstalled the app. Still having the issues. Cinelapse is one for sure that doesn't work for me. Would love to be able to use all the features on this expensive camera.

1 ★ A lot of this app comes up in another language when I open it I'm not sure if it's Chinese or Japanese but I don't understand it even though I am registered under the United States a lot of the features come up in another language and I can't use them properly. The editing app awful laggy, glitchy.

3 ★ App is nicely designed. Has good flow and user experience. It is a little limited in cross device compatibility. For example, I would like to take a picture using my smartwatch but the app does not support Android Wear OS or allow Bluetooth connectivity to the device in order to use other remotes.

2 ★ I think it's okay, just exporting take so much time in export... so slow I wish it was just an easier way to send the information from my insta to an editing device like my laptop because edditing in the app so slow and crashes often. also I can't seem to connect and install the firmware update as I keep getting errors. IDK to technology is cool but the implementation and execution needs a ways to go

5 ★ Sometimes, once I recorded films, they got sideways. So, you couldn’t watch the video without turning your telephone a certain way. With this app, I changed into able to rotate my films so I ought to preserve my smartphone typically both directly up or on its facet. Not the other way up, or the other way around. Great app. I actually advise it.

1 ★ the one r doesn't take sharp photos, and the customer service just leads you on blaming the faults on you. this software, is the only thing that lets you take pictures unless you want to buy a $50 remote. so when you load this up, you first of all HAVE TO HAVE a phone with this on it - to ACTIVATE your camera. you can't use it otherwise. so know that. and when you do have it, it took me about 5 tries before it accepted it, and pushed firmware in there without even asking me first. maybe its bad firmware, it probably is. in order to talk to your camera you have to have both WIFI and BLUETOOTH on. why does it need both? the bluetooth doesn't really work on the camera, and the software refuses to talk to it without it being there. and why does this software need to monitor your phone calls? anyway. when your logged into your camera, your wifi is locked into the camera - so you can't use it for anything else but that! and only when you log off does your wifi work right. there is a 3 second lag in the image. and when you load the software it defaults to video and there is no option to change that. one screen is in chinese. they asked me which one. well the one with chinese on it. i haven't really used the app because it looked like a pain to use. the connection kept breaking and it took too long to connect overall. and that was in a controlled environment. out in the field, it would really bug me that it would tie up my phone. and the PC software is even worse to use than this. If your thinking of buying an INSTA product - don't. they all have too many problems, they tell you the problems are designed that way. designed to overheat, give you bad images, lock up randomly and the customer service is terrible. if you do get it, use amazon.

1 ★ Just terrible.. exported from previous app but this app would crash on open. Had to reinstall and my videos were gone! They are probably stored somewhere but a big hassle that's not worth it. Decided to give the interface a try so re-downloaded a video from my camera. Went through about 30 minutes of edits clicked the back arrow to the album screen and all my edits disappeared. Seriously not worth downloading. Wasted an hour of my vacation on this. Don't install!

2 ★ Had high expectations for this app to be a game-changer for quick and high-powered editing of 360 One R footage. Much of the features are, in fact, in the app as icons, but just don't work or don't work well. Key issues highlights: - App frequently freezes, resulting in lost edit - Cannot preview some speed edits before export (huge time & storage sink) - Cannot get pivot points to work w/ speed adjustments at same time Feels like release premature to full functionality

1 ★ GPS remote and stats overlay does not appear to work on Android application. This app is a giant mess with a lot of great ideas that do not work because of the constant crashing. It's bad. Edit in relation to Insta360s response: I have only ever tested the GPS remote outside. I have now tried three times this week, all three times outdoors, and the stats option still does not appear, even if I wake the insta using the remote.

2 ★ I have a insta360 one r and I want to like it but it's one thing after another. So I try to use the computer version because I rather have a large screen but they obviously have not given that software the features it need to be useful so then I'm left with trying to edit everything on my phone and when it works it's actually pretty good but the worst part is the connectivity issues which is what you would expect if you're to EDIT EVERYTHING THROUGH BLUETOOTH. Also the app crashes all the time.
