1 ★ Horrible app! I have followed every step the instructions suggested and yet after multiple attempts, all I have is an account that I log in and out of. There was no MAC address so I can't move any further.
5 ★ Great app! Great thermostat!
1 ★ Terrible. Have to log in every time I use it even though there's a remember me option. A lot of times have to log in twice because after logging in the first time it just puts me right back at the login screen. Very often has communication issues with the thermostat. The UI is terrible and won't save things from one screen to the other. I only use it because it's what the builder installed but will be upgrading to something else as soon as I can.
4 ★ App works fine. Minus one star for thermostat. Whenever I check weather on thermostat it drops WiFi connection. Wish there was a reset button on thermostat. To reboot I need to disconnect from the wall.
2 ★ Well it used work very well probably for the first year or so then it started to have some "glitches, bugs" or I even think the thermostat(software)is the problem, lately it says can't connect server and I can't control the temperature, by the way I use all my gadgets connected to my wifi with no problems. I'd love to give the tstat 5 stars but is very difficult.
1 ★ using this app is a constant struggle with the bad interface, the lack of consistency within itself and the Android ecosystem, and the fact that one often needs to close the app and re-open to get a simple temperature change to stick. This app is in a serious need for a redesign, and you're better off just using amazon/Alexa or google home as interfaces to your HVAC.
1 ★ Last update upstair thermostat syncs with downstairs zones and launching all HVAC zones making it act as one thermostat negating the the cost to have multiple zones added to the house. An there isn't a menu option to turn off syncing feature and customer service is mute with any help. Appears sensor ID is less sensitive, now a zones seem to need 3 to 4 degrees before HVAC launches vs usually 1 or 2 degrees. Screen saver use to move around screen to prohibit etching. Now just stays in one place.
3 ★ I've been using Aprilaire Thermostat app since October 2018 and mostly pleased. They have more improvements since my last review. It syncs with phone more readily than before. Connecting Thermostat to network is easier. But more improvements can be made like, one have to sign out or else it stays open in the background.
2 ★ Aprilaire is the only option from our builder, Meritage Homes. After 16 months - app performance is better, but still inconsistent. With good wi-fi connectivity, and pausing 10+ seconds after every change made, it will continue to display unmodified settings, even though the actual thermostats DID change.
3 ★ Having to log in, whether it remembers your credentials or not, is pretty asinine for a home app. Having to set "hold until" every...single...time is pretty bad too
2 ★ The app makes you sign in every time you go to use it even if you check remember password. It is missing options such as "comfort" mode for fresh air. The final word on this app to Aprilaire: Do better. Not a bad start, but do better.
3 ★ App is glitchy as hell. Doesn't function well. I change the temp wait 4 seconds on the app and it changes back to what it was before. Get a different thermostat if you want a smart one. This one is not.
5 ★ Mom is 88 years old and was having problems adjusting her thermostat - I live an hour away and was having to drive up to adjust it. This thermostat and app are absolutely wonderful! I can keep her comfortable in her home without having to leave mine.
2 ★ Not very user friendly, and the product isn't intuitive or self-learning. Creating schedules in this can be frustrating.
1 ★ Awful user interface. I have to reset every couple of weeks to re-connect the wifi. Also need to login every time I open the app, and just today it couldn't connect to server.
