Description
As Christians, we are a part of the Body of Christ. We belong to Him and therefore our identity is defined by who Jesus says we are. In Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus says of His followers, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
As Christians in Norman, Oklahoma, we are still following Christ and allowing Him to define our identity and purpose. Because of this, we believe that we are here to shine as Christ’s Light in our homes, our community, and our world so that God might receive glory from our lives and from the lives of others.
Based on this passage of Scripture, we believe Wildwood’s mission is to: Glorify God by shining as LIGHT in our homes, our community, and the world.
