Description
The binding force of laws and ordinances, administrative acts, treaties and international agreements.
Section 1:
Laws and ordinances
Article One: The laws become enforceable under the enactment that is made by the President of
the Republic.
Article 2: The laws, however, become mandatory on the extent of each District that seven days after
arrival at the sub-prefecture of the Official Journal that contains, arrival which will be recorded in a special register
held by the District Sub-Prefect.
This applies to orders issued by the Head of State, in accordance with Article 42 of the
Constitution.
Article 3: In case of emergency and without prejudice to their publication in the Official Journal, the laws and ordinances
become mandatory within the scope of each Province, after their display in the panel acts
administrative, or seven days after publication in a journal of official and authorized legal notices.
The display timing of the publication of these laws and ordinances must be worn on a special register kept by
the governor.
However, unless rendered impossible by force majeure, the texts of laws and ordinances and
mandatory reporting should be as they are adopted, brought to public knowledge during three shows
successive broadcast.
Article 4: The laws and ordinances, excluding those purely territorial scope become
Mandatory against Gabon domiciled or residing abroad seven days after the arrival found at
Consulate Official Journal that contains and against Gabon residing in countries where Gabon has no
Consulate fifteen calendar days after publication in the Official Journal.
If published under urgent procedure, these texts are effective immediately upon posting in
premises of the Consulate of Gabon or their diplomatic representatives of Gabon.
Article 5: The individual laws are required the day after notification of the individual who has been
