MBC 미주법인은 한류를 더욱더 확산시키기 위해 미국전역의 다양한 시청자층에 양질의 MBC 프로그램을 MBC America 애플리케이션을 통하여 제공하고자 합니다. 주요 언론 및 미주 시청자들이 편리하고 쉽게 사용 할수 있는 애플리케이션을 만들어 한국의 문화를 북미에서 남미까지 다양한 인종에게 한국의 문화를 전파하는 글로벌 방송사의 역할을 MBC America 애플리케이션을 통하여 수행 하고자 합니다.
애플리케이션의 메인 목적은 MBC 뉴스를 통하여 미주소식과 한국 소식을 전달해 드리고, 미주 커뮤니티 활성화를 통하여 다양한 생활정보 및 정보 등을 알려드릴 목적으로 개발하였습니다. 뿐만 아니라 한국 문화, 드라마 등을 한국 문화에 관심이 많은 타인종들에게 쉽고 편하게 알릴 수 있는 수단으로서 MBC America APP이 구심점이 될 수 있도록 개발 되었습니다.
1. 뉴스- 헤드라인 뉴스 및 속보(동영상 제공), 로컬, 한국, 국제 뉴스를 제공
2. 커뮤니티 – 나눔터, 구인구직, M-Talk, 전문가 코너 등을 만들어 정보 공유 기능 수행
3. 홈쇼핑 – Mstorebuy.com 과 연계하여 한국 우수 상품들을 구입할 수 있는 기회 제공
4. HD 드라마 – 최대 30시간 돌려보기 기능을 탑재 하여 현재 방송에 나가고 있는 컨텐츠들을 모바일을 통하여 영어자막과 함께 제공
5. 편성표 및 프로그램 정보 – 현재 어떤 방송이 방영되고 있는지 실시간 on-air로 표시하여 편성 정보 및 설명 제공
