We are pleased to offer our valued clients the very latest in smartphone booking technology with our free Mears Taxi application.
Key Features of the Mears Taxi app include:
• Book a trip in as few as 2 clicks
• Monitor the progress of your vehicle on a map
• Create a list of favourite addresses and assign a custom name for each
• Review all reservations you have made over the past 30 days
• Provide feedback related to the application and/or service you received
• Call Mears Taxi with the push of a button
To begin using the Mears Taxi app today:
• Download the free app
• Enter your phone number
• Validate your account (via the notification code you receive)
• Login to the app (Set your name and Email for receipts)
• Enter your pickup address
• Enter your destination address (this allows us to provide an estimated fare amount)
• Book your trip
On booking a reservation, you will immediately receive a confirmation number, along with an update when your vehicle has been assigned. From here you can monitor the progress of your vehicle as it moves towards your pickup location.
The Mears Taxi app retains a history of your previous reservations for expense management and to quickly rebook the same trip with the push of a button. You may also create a list of favourite locations (Home, Work, etc.) to speed up the booking process.

1 ★ Downloaded and then denied them access to my files and photos. Why would you need that??? App won't open at all. Tried twice. Uninstalled.
1 ★ You don't need access to my pictures, my videos or my audio files! That is invasion of privacy! All you need is my location and for me to make a phone call to call you.
1 ★ App crashes upon launch now. Wasn't particularly useful for utilizing mears taxis when it didn't crash constantly before then.
1 ★ App sucks massively. Cant get a cab to save my poor mothers life. Says 5 minute wait. Takes 30 minutes just to tell me to go screw off and that the ride has been cancelled. Bad, bad app. Please fix.
1 ★ Never got it to load past opening logo. Also, why would a taxi app need permission to access my phone and photos? Seems sketchy.

1 ★ App is glitchy and didn't work. Requires all permissions to your phone to even open in the first place.
1 ★ Why do you need access to my media to call a taxi? This is absolutely a privacy intrusion. I refused access and it prevents me from using the app.
1 ★ Can't even load it! Can't log in online either! Too bad, because I used to be a good customer. Time to find another car service.

1 ★ App couldn't create an account because it couldn't validate my phone number... why couldn't it text my a code for verification? App requires media access to my phone but couldn't tell my why.
