3 ★ Had an issue removing an account but developer replied right away to my post. Thanks for getting back to me, it took a while to find the Remove Account. Maybe you can put all settings on one side bar, no hidden settings that we can easily navigate, be adept with the app and make changes. Definitely will be using the app again.
5 ★ Having my first issue with the app after the entire length of using it: notifications are not delivering subject line or sender when collapsed and it is quite annoying to not have that information without having to expand the notification and even then it is snot conveyed. The body of the mail is displayed so I have to try and guess if it is not signed. It there a way to fix this?
4 ★ Lots of useful features and decent design. For example, "snoozed" msgs are sorted by wake up time. Several handy categories group useful tidbits, such as photos. Also, nice calendar integrated with email content. All this requires reading your email. If you're paranoid or into privacy, move on.
2 ★ Apparently not smart enough to know that new emails were checked on other devices, including ones using alto. New email notifications will persist in the notification bar until the app is launched. 10/16/2017:.. How nice.. I can no longer log in to my yahoo account nor re-add it... New mail notifications still persist after mail is cleared from another device.
3 ★ This could be a great email app and would easily get five stars were it not for a couple of things that bug me! No domain blocking for all of the frigging spam we all get. Please add this! No read receipt (unless I missed that feature). The Stacks! I like selecting where mail goes. Folders work better for me. Sadly, difficult to creat folders on some devices. Couple of other niggles but the fact that this app syncs across devices keeps me using it.
2 ★ I liked the visuals of this app and how it was created by AOL but very disappointed when my AOL email paired with it doesn't receive emails on time. I expected more from a company I have always respected and have used since I was a small child. Very buggy and not reliable when you need your mail as soon as it is sent. My Samsung email App is much better at this.
3 ★ This would be one of the best applications and layout if i wasn't having huge issues with a hotmail accout, it was working fine then it wouldn't sync so i removed the account and now it would not let me add it. The issue is very odd as its only with one hotmail email account. All my other accounts work including Live axcount, work email and even test a friends hotmail account and it added it fine but my email account it will no longer except i have tried everything under the sun but can't seem to fix. The problem is definitely with the application. Support take weeks to reply and have a very unhelpful solutions to try lile telling me to trying adding it used other account lol
3 ★ Nice client but I am having issues with calendar events. For every meeting I accept through Alto it creates an duplicate event called "untitled name". Had notified support in August and I am still awaiting a resolution. no action has been taken to fix this issue till date.
5 ★ Edit: getting better and better! Original post: Mostly does what I need it to do. The GUI is clean and easy to navigate. Notifications show up fast. However, every now and then the "swipe to delete" function stops working after deleting two emails in a row. Also, when I tap on a new email notification, the app will open and take me to the last email I read instead of the new email.
2 ★ The app itself is good and is getting better every update. However I have issues with syncing with hotmail and I've tried getting help through the tech support. Only to find it takes them weeks even months to answer and no help whatsoever. The tech support is what let's the app down and prevents me giving them 5 stars.
2 ★ I like the app at first when I tried it. Then I decided to switch to this app then it stop working. It will show me I have an email in my notifications but then when u go to read it it's not there and I keep getting a "we hit a snag please try again later". Now I can't get none of my emails Frome accounts. Ready to go back to the old email app.
3 ★ Something is wrong. My emails are getting stuck in the drafts folder but they appear to be sent when I submit. And the app keeps signing me out, brings me to a blank sign in screen.
3 ★ Great Job AOL!! It is a very useful app and the web version is very nice too!! You can organize your work and your personal mail in the same app with several platforms!! It needs widgets. With exchange calendar I am not able to see immediately my events, so, I have to use another app only to see my exchange events!!!
5 ★ It's a little slow. I really want to love this app. If the performance issues and staring at a spinning circle issue can be sorted out I could make this my new email client.
3 ★ Please add a "select all" button. It is frustrating having to check each email individually. Edited to specify - when searching a specific word for instance "google" you can not select all of the emails within that search to delete them easily. Please add a select all button for this.
