Description
Offline OS maps of Great Britain along with GPS functionality. Outdoor Map Navigator apps are available on Android, PC, iOS, and macOS allowing you to use the OS maps you subscribe to along with your routes on multiple phones, tablets, and computers.

Android App
• Download OS maps to store on your phone/tablet to use them offline without an internet connection.
• See your position in real-time on the latest Ordnance Survey maps.
• Record tracklogs of where you have been.
• Plot routes, edit and style them.
• Fully featured offline search including place names and postcodes.
• Use Ordnance Survey grid references, latitude/longitude, or UTM.
Maps
• Access the latest Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale Explorer maps and 1:50,000 scale Landranger maps.
• High Definition and Standard Definition Ordnance Survey maps are available.
• Superfast map rendering to any zoom level.
• Use your maps on Android, PC, macOS, or iOS via OMN apps on these platforms – no need to use a clunky web browser-based system.
• The option to stream maps when you have an internet connection.
Routes and Tracklogs
• Add and save waypoints.
• Plot, edit, and style your routes.
• Create your styles for routes and tracks with transparency, thickness, and colour.
• Choose from over 200 icons for waypoints, or import your own on OMN PC or OMN macOS and sync to your account for use on OMN Android.
• Save routes and tracks and sync them to Anquet Cloud to access them on other OMN apps.
• Import and Export data in the industry-standard GPX file format.
Use maps, routes, and tracks within any of the four OMN apps. You can therefore plan a route on the larger screen on your PC or Mac, and then easily sync your route data to your Android phone or tablet. If you need to make a change whilst on the go, OMN Android has a full route editing system. When you have completed your trip, review your tracklog either on OMN Android, or quickly sync to your PC or Mac to view on a larger screen.
Anquet Maps have been building digital mapping systems since 2001. This latest version of OMN was built with the help of our customers concentrating on usability and consistency across Android, PC, macOS, and iOS to allow users to learn the system once and easily move between computers without having to relearn everything. Although you have a full route editing system on your phone or tablet, also having access to the same tools on your PC or Mac will make your route planning much easier due to the larger screen.
OMN PC and Mac also contain a very powerful print engine to allow you to make map prints to carry as a backup.
Location:
To record a tracklog of your journey and show your position on the map Outdoor Map Navigator needs continuous access to location data. The app only collects location data if the app is in the foreground showing your location or if a tracklog is being recorded.

5 ★ Does the app have open street maps for the trails OS maps do not cover? i have downloaded the app but cannot see any path on the Groundranger map? Cheers in advance.
5 ★ Excellent multi-platform solution for OS mapping. Wide choice of OS map options with fixed map selection (no flipping of map type at different zoom levels/app launch) makes it a joy to use for route planning and GPS tracking. The Android app is the best around for viewing the actual OS maps and limits the use of 'static' screen buttons. During GPS tracking the stats. banner is even customisable (you choose speed/altitude/grid ref etc. display options and even their banner position). The banner can also be toggled on/off to maximise map visibility during use, very helpful. Battery drain during GPS recording is low - c.5% per hour using default tracklog settings (Honor 9 phone, albeit in airplane mode). The GPX Manager and Editor (PC version) are simple yet powerful tools to control routes and tracks - manual syncing with the Anquet cloud server works consistently. Technical support are excellent and helped me with an app shutdown issue which was related to my phone (within the phone's battery settings set 'App Launch' to manage manually and ensure 'Run in Background' is enabled). So, if you don't want to share or use other people's routes from the 'community' (or get a load of recommendations for equipment or accommodation) BUT do want a reliable GPS app and route planning platform with OS mapping then I fully recommend OMN by Anquet. 1 ★ Shame but it simply says 'cannot access...' and shuts down. So pretty much useless (high spec phone fully functional with all other apps installed, it's not the phone it's the app) :update- thank you devs for reply, app actually says "login failed, OMN has failed to log in to Anquet Cloud. OMN will now shut Down".
5 ★ I've loved OMN since my first purchase of the National Parks maps circa 2007. It's a fabulous app for planning and leading walks for my local walking club giving accurate distance and height detail along with the option of printing the route for inspection. Visually it is excellent, as is the support given. I would be 'lost' without it!
5 ★ Cracking free app, this is a great addition to the brilliant Anquet system. I reckon the Anquet system is the best value for money that I spend. This app is great for when II can't be bothered taking my GPS with me on a local walk but want to know how far I have walked. The app is free & ties in seamlessly with the main Anquet software so, I have access to all the OS maps or my own walks on my mobile. The whole Anquet system including the app is simple and quick to use.
4 ★ Very good app, but I wish I had more control over which bits of map are downloaded. I can only choose 100k squares, and at high res that's to big for my phone. I'd like to zoom to rectangles and say "secure this".
4 ★ I wish I wish I wish ... I can't give this five stars. I've always loved Anquet, it was the first navigation programme I ever bought and the latest version is much more responsive that its predecessors, but the lack of smartwatch functionality means it's simply not as useful as the leading competitors.
5 ★ I have just updated my Anquet subscription and the latest app that it comes with is ace. I record all my walk al cycle routes then save them. App is straightforward to use. Using the brill Anquet mapping you always have the support, (if you're a low grade tech person like me) of the excellent guru David.
2 ★ First issue, password incompatible. I set up my account and subscription via PC. The password creation allows the use of symbols to make it secure. I download this OMN app and it states that passwords can only be basic alphanumeric, dash, underscore, dot and space. Well, that's a bad start...
2 ★ The interface is not intuitive and the manuals refer to a previous version. The OS maps are brilliant but creating a route on my PC to use on my Android was so painful that I cancelled my 2 month free subscription.

5 ★ Unable to sign in via website and also establish map in my temporary phone.
5 ★ The outstanding features of OMN are the ability to create edit routes on a desktop computer and seamlessly sync them to your phone, tablet etc. and the quality of the maps especially the OS HD 1.25000. As with all mapping programs there is a learning curve to find and use all the facilities. The developers have worked hard over the years to create a worthwhile, value for money, product.
5 ★ I've not used this version of the app in the field yet, but one thing is certain - the new app loads much more quickly that the previous OMN2, and that alone gives it five stars, as the previous version was very laggy. The only downside was that I had to download all my maps again, and that over three devices - a minor inconvenience as far as I am concerned, in order to gain the faster loading. I'm looking forward to using the app out on the hills.
5 ★ Really impressed with new version. Zooming is brilliant. At 25K or 50K scales can zoom out to cover the whole of the UK, move the map and zoom back in almost instantly. All very smooth and quick to operate. Thank you.
