Permission description
APP calls some of the privacy rights on Android devices, and we have access to these permissions as follows:
android.permission.CAMERA
APP function allows the user to replace the device picture; picture can be used for temporary camera camera;
android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE
Get the phone IMEI, for better support APP push function;
App permissions
NEO 1.2.2 APK requires following permissions:
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to read from external storage.

1 ★ I have used Neo for my Ankuoo sockets for 5 years now. They worked pretty well during that time, some issues but working fine. Now the app is dead. I had to change one socket at I could not change the timings on my hot water heater and we have guests. It has been going on for some time now and this is not acceptable. I bought new meross devices. Reasonable price, app that works.
3 ★ I have found that the Apple App works as I installed it on my IPAD Mini with no problems. Had to reset each switch and do the setup in the app. Hope this helps some of you who have purchased this device. I have five of the NEO PRO swiches and thought I had done my money NEO android app needs to be fixed.
1 ★ Horrible the last update made this app crash and it had been over 2 weeks and nothing from the website. I emailed and sent a message through here. Nothing. Stop messing with the program and let it be. There is no need for this to look at my pictures and my phone calls. Stop being invasive.
1 ★ After Samsung Update August 2020 (I made it yesterday) the NEO app no longer starts on my S20 Ultra 5G. I tried to uninstall it and put it back but nothing. At the first tap the App tries to start and then closes. The second tap remains a fixed white screen, I've to kill the application to close it. Is there a patch? An update to fix this issue?
1 ★ I'm moving on...will never buy this brand again. Can't believe is was good until last update. I emailed customer support a couple of times with no response. Is there going to be a fix???Worked fine for years, now will not load. White screen.
1 ★ Had this app to control my ankuoo smart plugs for several years. Worked until earlier this year when either Android or your app was updated. Since then, I am unable to open the app on my galaxy s9+, which in turn renders my smart switches pretty worthless. Fix this problem now!
1 ★ Was Great, please make it Great again! This was one of the most trouble-free smart apps I used. Now it's just plain dead. Something with the last Android update prevents the app from launching. Will the issue be fixed anytime soon?
1 ★ Continually crashes on Android 9 and 10 devices. Whether you load the app directly from the Neo site or Play. Used to be 5/5 until recently? Are we all expected to throw away the devices we invested $$$ in? Can you be better than this please?
1 ★ Since the latest update, this app DOESN'T WORK!!! FIX YOUR STUPID APP!!! I now have a blank screen. I'd give you no stars, but can't. Previously, this was a good app/switch.
1 ★ Since update, it doesn't open and crashes. After uninstalling and reinstalling, why do you need to record, access contacts, photos, etc. Has nothing to do with using a power adaptor. Please provide update
1 ★ Latest update as of Friday 7.31.20 broke app across multiple phones and tablets. App does not populate with switches and then closes down. Please fix otherwise a waste of hundreds of dollars on 15 neos or at the very least respond to the comment here How do I downgrade to 1.2.1 version? Edit..Tjank you David Graham for recommendation of Chacon Neo brought back my local neo devices but not my remote ones
5 ★ Great app. Version 1.2.2 is junk. Still a great app. Just Uninstall and Google search ankuoo neo 1.2.1 apk. Download and install. This solved the problem for me. Have a great day everyone!
1 ★ Perhaps this company has gone belly up. I would stay away from all of their products! This app no longer functions and although the neo I use still works, it is no longer programmable due to the non functioning app. Once we loose power it will brick.
1 ★ Does not work now on my Samsung, apparently after August 2020 update. But solved it by installing Chacon NEO after suggestions in other reviews REQUIRED access to camera, Phone call and more, seems as a spy app
1 ★ As of sept 8th 2020. This app still will not load up. Deleted and downloaded again still white screen and sometimes crash the phone. Need fixed i have many control devices connected to this app
