The Mayangkara crown is the title of a very legendary radio play which is the second sequel continued by Tutur Tinular by S. Tidjab. A story with the historical background of the Majapahit Kingdom under the rule of Prabu Jayanagara, in which the Ra Kuti rebellion finally succeeded in being crushed by Gajah Mada.

This radio drama was first broadcast on January 1, 1990 and was broadcast by more than 512 radio stations throughout Indonesia, which were incorporated in the PRSSNI Indonesian National Private Broadcast Radio Association. In 2002, Tutular Tinular radio drama was re-broadcast on one of the radios in the city of Yogyakarta, namely Radio MBS FM and 95.4 Mhz Radio Yasika FM. Not only that, even in January 2012, it was recorded that there were still a number of radio stations that broadcast it again like; 103.3 Mhz Radio Karimata FM, Pamekasan, Madura [1], 95.6 FM Radio Bintang Tenggara, Banyuwangi [2], and 95.2 FM Radio Oisvira, Sumbawa, Istana FM Radio Bojonegoro, East Java [3], Radio Patria FM Blitar, East Java [4]. Besides that there are also several online sites that are still playing this radio drama in live streaming, including Radio Streaming Asdisuara Jakarta, owned by Asdi Suhastra, [5].

Mayangkara's crown itself comes from the words "Crown", "Mayang" and "Angkara". Literally "Mahkota" means the headdress or songkok of King's greatness, while "Mayang" is taken from Sanskrit which means pseudo, then "Angkara" which means Ruthlessness or cruelty.
So in general the Mayangkara Crown can be interpreted as a pseudo or temporary power that is achieved with full arrogance and bloodshed.
