The terminology, sometimes called also dengan'azimah ruqyah. Al-Fairuz Abadi said: "The dimaksud'azimah-'azimah is ruqyah-ruqyah. While ruqyah are the verses of Al-Qur`an which was read to the people affected by various diseases with the hope of a cure." (See Al-Qamus al-Muhith on material عزم)
Ruqyah Obviously the main thing is prayer and readings are sourced from Al-Qur`an and Sunnah. (Ibid, p.5)
Allah says, "Say," the Koran is a guide and antidote for those who believe. "(Qs. Fushilat: 44)
"And We send down from the Quran something that became bidders and mercy for the believers." (QS.isra ': 82)
"O mankind, there came to you the lessons from your Rabb, and a remedy for diseases of the disease (that are) in the chest, a guidance and a mercy to those who believe." (Qs. Yunus: 57)
