Sholawat Az Zahir is a collection of prayer songs performed by Az Zahir Pekalongan. Az-zahir is a tambourine group or hadroh from Pekalongan which has been made recently, the tambourine group personnel are all from the Al Munsyidin group. It can be said that this tambourine group is referred to as Al Munsyidin Senior.

Az Zahir Assembly History. Initially, this Assembly was built by Habib Ali Zainal Abidin Assegaf on th. 2004. Every Friday kliwon, the assembly held a reading on the birthday of the Prophet SAW. after completing Friday prayers at his residence, Jalan Toba No. 53 Pekalongan, Central Java, which is currently the Secretary of the Assembly of Az-Zahir. As time went on, the assembly which was originally held on Friday afternoon today was changed to Friday night and added the study of jurisprudence and morals according to the direction of Al-Habib Muhammad Lutfi bin Yahya. With the exception of the regular assembly held on Friday night, the Assembly of Az-Zahir also has regular activities and maulid safari in some places, both in Pekalongan district, around Central Java Province, and other cities.

Each year, the Assembly of Az-Zahir also holds the Birthday of the Grand Priest and the Haul of Al-Habib Seggaf bin Abubakar Assegaf which was attended by several fans of the great Prophet Muhammad. Initially this assembly was only named the Council of Mawlid, but when it was going to make Maulid Akbar, so some worshipers begged him to give Habib Ali Zainal Abidin Assegaf the name of his assembly. This assembly was also finally named Az-Zahir, according to the name of his father's Islamic Boarding School in Probolinggo, East Java, which was named Az-Zahir by his grandfather, Al-Habib Abu Bakar bin Muhammad Assegaf.
