Description
Shoot videos that look and sound like you used an old damaged camcorder and put the tape in a shoebox for 30 years. Change the date to go back in time, and preview the effect in real-time as you record your "videotape".
“What app are those people in Instagram using a retro camera to make their videos look like they are 25 years old?” - You, before you downloaded this VHS Camera app. We have also an effect similar to a novelty camera or a glitch camera, very retro, a bit damaged, with very cool glitch art.
So, straight from your Android device, film home retro videos that feel like they were recorded in the 80s & 90s. VCR, tape cassette or even the Super VHS (SVHS was the HD version) are things from the past, but it feels so good to have them back.
It has also some subtle background white noise, to be even more similar to the VCR videocassette recorders.

2 ★ Is there a reason why this app has been abandoned by the developers? I purchased the app because it was an awesome app when I first purchased it. Now, it doesn't work on my Note8. It hadn't even received an update in over years.
3 ★ It is okay, VHS effect is not great... I regret buying it. Maybe updates might be able to save the app
2 ★ There's an extremely weird glitch in the app. More than half of the effects doesn't show the actual camera view, it's black and only the effects can be seen. And the weirdest weirdest part is that the app actually records. But no live preview. Samsung S8 with the latest software update.
4 ★ This app is pretty fun x3. If I could make any suggestions, I'd say improve the VHS effect so the quality is softer (if that makes sense). Since an actual VHS tape is lower in resolution than our phones (which is pretty amazing, to think how far we've come along by the way), it should have a slight blur effect applied to the picture as well as the time stamp itself. Also, VHS tapes tend to have a constant smidge of warping in the video signal at the bottom of the screen, so try and add that in if possible.
1 ★ For some reason my camera haz zero access with this app. When recording I can't see s***, all I get is a black screen with static. My current phone is a Moto x4
5 ★ Good app. One thing I would like to see is a timer. Also, covert photos from phone gallery to the app gallery just like you could do with videos.
2 ★ Modern phone with no issues otherwise. App doesn't even work at bare minimum. Videos save with no sound. Hell, it hasn't been updated in 2017. Purchase with caution.
5 ★ I've recently started a movie business and needed an app to make old videos, and I thoroughly enjoy it. I love how you can change the date and time, and too. Magnificent.

1 ★ It said i could import the videos from my own gallery. Well, i'm not seeing that option. Also, the camera is kinda weird.

1 ★ When importing a video to add vhs effects it completely destroys the final video. I want my money back.
3 ★ Pretty sweet. Would be more appealing if the datestamp was affected by the filters rather than being perfectly clean text over the top. Kinda spoils the effect a bit.
