3 ★ Camera keeps turning on even after I've turned it off. I have home/away set but now I can't get that setting to open so I can turn it off. I recently bought two Blink Minis and will be switching to those since they don't require a subscription.
1 ★ Beware! Uses mobile data while on wifi! The app stopped loading, so I uninstalled and then reinstalled the app. Within a few hours, the app used almost 9 GB of data (costing me $90!). I turned off the ability for it to use mobile data in the background at 3.8 GB and thought the problem had been solved. Realized when I got an alert at 8GB that it was still sucking data so I turned off my mobile data on my device. It STILL continued to use data! Not until I uninstalled the app did it stop.
1 ★ No recorded clips? Even on a Kindle app doesn't show any recorded clips for the last several months. Even though we have four cameras, apparently nobody's moved around in our house since March, human or dog. Sucks that I pay $100 a year for this!
2 ★ Hangs up often. It requires to kill the app to resume streaming. Uses mobile data instead of WiFi. Notifications are quite annoying and active by default.
1 ★ Horrible app! I am unable to connect the camera and keep getting camera connection error. I have tried on two different devices.
3 ★ Edit: Less than a month after 1-star review it magically started working again. Original Review: It worked for maybe a year until the live view just stopped working. I have not found a solid reason or fix for the problem. Reinstalling the app doesn't change anything... The cam itself still works fine, I can see live view from a computer. Other phones I've put the app on worked fine for the short amount of time I tested it. Also, the quality of the recordings aren't great in my opinion.
2 ★ Need to be able to set a specific notification sound so I dont think its a text message or some other app. Pretty sure this is an app specific issue since I have different sounds for text, email and FB.
1 ★ Need a way to sort/filter/group the recorded footages. Right now if you have to view a footage from five days ago, good luck scrolling through all the footages
2 ★ Well, the away home used to work... Now being two feet away from it (most of the time) doesn't realize or recognize my phone. Over a year ago, this app was a 5*. Update*. Still, months later. Still having this issue. Not sure they can't revert back to the previous version where it actually worked. Don't really even use my camera any more because it doesn't do what it's supposed to do with using this app.
1 ★ Live feed never loads and trying to change home/away function causes the app to crash, making the feature unusable. Since the home/away feature is broken, I'm forced to manually turn the camera on and off to protect my privacy. Even worse, the camera turns back on and begins recording by itself, after I've turned it off manually through the app... Super sketchy!!
1 ★ Uses mobile data even though I'm connected to wifi. Googled this, and apparently users have been experiencing this up to 10 months ago with no apparent resolution. What gives?
1 ★ The home/away feature is not working properly. Clearly I am home, but the app stated otherwise. Have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. No dice! Very frustrating to say the least. Any suggestion?
1 ★ Unreliable, and frustrating. I know a lot is going on but now more than ever we need to be able to trust or security system devices and apps we use with them. I can't get any live view, settings get randomly switched and it's plain ole unreliable. I'm so disappointed in Amazon, they are swimming in money at least fix the apps and systems!
1 ★ Used for 2 years no major issues on my old galaxy phone. Have 7 cams in the house. Got a GalaxyS20 recently and now I can not watch previous saved video clips... They freeze and buffer, three white dots. The cam works fine on all other devices, phone and computer. But on my new S20 can not go back to watch saved/precious videos over 3mins. Terrible. Customer service is a diaster.
2 ★ The web cam loosing wifi connection from time to time, and requires reset. The wifi is on as other devices are connected without problems. In the same time other web cam (Waze) are working without problems.
