SwipeChat comes to the rescue!
SwipeChat allows you to configure two of your favourite IM apps which can be launched by just swiping right to left from the edge of your screen.
For Example: If you configure WhatsApp as your first app and *** as your second, then these are the 3 scenarios in which you can launch apps:
1.In WhatsApp, swiping will launch ***.
2.Similairly, swiping *** will launch WhatsApp.
3.If you are in neither of apps, then the first app configured will be launched.

SwipeChat - Chat Freely 1.4 APK requires following permissions:
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
