App permissions
Alertus 3.4.7 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to record audio.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

1 ★ This app is awesome when it works. Every time my phone updates the app gets stuck in offline mode. Now customer service is telling me my organization has to contact them. So I can't get help. Very poor customer service. I just need to know what setting I have to adjust again for this app to work.
1 ★ Today I received a notification of an active assailant on campus when I was in a nearby location, and when I tried to open the Alertus app it got stuck on "Processing" for a long time, and sometimes said "It appears that internet connection is offline" despite my internet connection working perfectly fine for other purposes. For a while I couldn't see the alert in the list after having received the notification, which made it look like a retracted false alarm, but it was a real event.
