What's new in Vector CTRL 14.3
Please clean storage (data) of the app if you are going to change from DDL to Wire Pod
Then click "Wirepod" checkbox in the settings screen. When it is selected, pod IP field will be visible. It will try to find pod IP using the "escapepod" local name. If that does not work fast, you can try disabling and re-enabling the wirepod checkbox, or manually enter IP.
Fill in any other required inputs and click "set" and move on to the connect page.

Description
It currently lets you control Vector;
- live Camera feed display from Vector
- say whatever you write on the text field
(in 2 different voice)
- move forward, backward
- turn left , turn right
- set speed for move
- move head up/down
- move lift up/down
- adjust move speed
- set Vector’s eye color , picking from a nice color picker
- see battery level and voltage of Vector
More functions will be added later:
- audio feed (voice from Vector’s environment) will be added , if possible
- take photo and save to phone memory
- save video file to phone memory
- patrol mode
*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***
To get the IP address, vector serial number ,
1. Put the Vector on its dock (turned on and powered via USB)
2. Press Vector’s button 2 times. (you will see the Vector name)
3. Lift up Vector’s lift and put it down
4. You will see ;
a. Vector serial on 1st line
b. IP address on 4th line

You have to enter your username (email) and password for the Anki account and then enter the local IP address of Vector.
These 3 settings let you make Vector say whatever you like.
When you set these 3 fields correctly, first hit "Set" button to get the GUID for access. Then fill in the "Say" text field and hit "Say".
To make it move, you need additional settings:
- Vector's name
- Vector's serial
When you fill in all 5 of the settings , please hit "set"
Then, to begin moving Vector, please press "connect for move"
If your Vector is powered on and connected network,
if your phone is able to reach Vector with the set IP address (and port),
if you have entered all 5 settings correctly,
You should see direction arrows to control Vector.
After you finish moving Vector , you have to release control to him.
For this purpose, please press "disconnect" button.
*** IMPORTANT - USE CASE ***
You can also use it when you are away from home. You just have to;
1. map Vector’s tcp 443 port to an available port on your router
2. make this port accessible from external network
3. get a static IP or dynamic DNS service so that you can access your router from anywhere
(for example if your Vector has IP address 192.168.1.43 , map 444 port of your router to 192.168.1.43 port 443. then access your router’s external IP or DNS name and change the port on the app to 444)

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

1 ★ keeps crashing after playing an ad, so all i can do is watch ads
5 ★ I'm able to use My Vector Robot more now. I like the app because I can control my Vector remotely and use the camera. I also like that I can see myself on Vector's screen and phone. This app make Vector fun again. I hope there will be more updates and added features to enjoy. The Vector CTRL app is Awesome!!!!
1 ★ It says stop ad free apps which I did and the massage appears again. If you press OK this app is closing. If you press outside it takes you inside but "settings" and "connect and play" buttons are unresponsive only "addfree version" and "instuctions"" buttons works. Adds works too but there us no way to run this app
1 ★ Awful since the update. Used to be this was a great little app, now the ads take over and you can seldom even connect to poor Vector. The app wasn't broken, so why did you ruin it by trying to make it too advanced. It used to be so good!
2 ★ Had to disable ad blockers. I couldn't even attempt to try and use this app because the developer is forcing users to disable their ad blockers. That's a bit intrusive and concerns me. I was able to connect using the old Anki API and the Vector SDK. I'm able to take control of the robot myself. Thanks.
1 ★ EDIT: 01/21 Now RIDDLED with ads, so basically a useless app by a greedy developer. There's no excuse that on every touch on the app I get ridiculous ads non-stop, Uninstalling and using the FREE desktop version instead. ------------------------------ A bit of fidgeting around but got it to work. Pic not so good on my tablet, but good on my S5. To the developer, great job, but don't give up! I never knew this app existed until someone recently posted this on the Anki Reddit group! Thanks :)
4 ★ the app works good and lets you move vector around how you want I really like the ability to display images on vector screen I wish you could change vectors facial expressions though kind of like some of the features on the victor app add these features and five stars
1 ★ I tried lots of time but it always shows a error of that password doesn't contain special characters. But I always putted special characters. What a rubbish app

2 ★ This app doesn't work, I try to connect my vector sitting down and all the info in place and it still won't connect when I press ok, it's trash

1 ★ I can't get my Vector registered because DDL took over the rights of Anki's products. Can you fix this problem? I really want to try this app! Will be happy to update rating if you could resolve this issue. Thank you!
