3 ★ Update 5/14/21 Bad receiver on fan. Warranty replacement, install and works as expected. The Ecobee integration could use some logic improvement. If the fan is already running then it shouldn't turn off after assisting with climate control. Experience seems to be similar to other poor reviews. Two fans installed yesterday, Renegade and Osprey. The Osprey is further away from gateway. Has lost connection multiple times already and apparently that means the fan stops operating.
1 ★ Wifi option?! It says I need to open Settings and WIFi but there is NO WiFi option so How do I connect?! The issue is not my network. It is that the APP does not have a WiFi option! I did contact customer service (about a week ago) and they said they would have someone get back to me. I have not heard back.
1 ★ Definitely the worst app of all time! Modern Forms Fans should be totally embarrassed. App works a few hours and then the fans don't work from app. Do NOT buy Modern Forms Fans if you want a smart fan. MINKA AIRE better. App is TOTAL garbage. I tried again after one year and it's still useless. They need to start over with new app developers. Just look at app ratings from other users. They are 100% true!
1 ★ There are several bugs that I have had with this, such as the fan receiver making a whining noise while off and the light not turning off all the way. I have tried emailing support, but I never got any replies.
1 ★ The app is constantly not connecting to my wifi. If the remote came with the "breeze" setting, I wouldn't use the app at all. As it is, I still can't use the breeze setting because the app fails.
3 ★ Stopped working completely with the update. Now I can't connect to the fan.
1 ★ The app crashes a lot, hard to add fans because it usually won't work. Then when there's one in the app but not working I can't get it to delete from the fan devices; app crashes. So I have fans that I can't connect, and fans not working that I can't delete. Horrible that you make a nice, not cheap, fan, but this app is useless. Now if I want to use a remote I have to buy 4 of them at $50 a pop...uhm, NO, just don't buy the fans. Sorry Modern Forms, read the reviews and invest in the app!
1 ★ Doesn't work one Iota. After reading the reviews I realized trying to get this to work was an exercise in futility. Pure trash.
1 ★ Tons of problems with set up originally. Have suffered through frequent disconnects for 2 years. Now the Modern Forms app doesn't connect to my fan, for some reason Smart Things is still controlling it though. TAKE A LOOK AT ALL OF THE NEGATIVES REVIEWS HERE... WHY HAVEN'T YOU FIXED YOUR SOFTWARE??? WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MODERN FORMS PRODUCT.
1 ★ Same experience as everyone else here. I can't get this dam thing to work. I can't connect it to my wifi. Really poor quality app with no resources or instructions.
1 ★ I Have not been able to use my fan via app since 3/23/21. Not showing up on my wifi network anymore. I've tried everything. No trouble shooting info can be found anywhere. 😡
1 ★ Up graded modem and now we can not connect to the fans. $1000 of fans and we can not even turn them on. Do not buy anything Modern Forms.
1 ★ Fan never stays connected, and I can't update the firmware because it isn't staying connected to even the cloud. How I can get it working.
2 ★ Awesome fan, app is horrible always logging, issues with wifi. Sad because the fan is Amazing !!!!!
