Download the latest UK Storm Radar application, version 1.8, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Weather app is developed by UK Weather Forecast and is easy to download and install.
Previous versions, including 1.8, are also available. If you need help or have any problems, please let us know.
Description
There is no need to refresh our application or reload as our lightning detector updates automatically every 5 minutes. We have a colour code for each lightning symbol in which you can find via clicking the “key” button, each coloured symbol with a different size represents the time since the plotted lightning strike(s).
You may upgrade to our free weather radar application at any time by navigating to the button with three dots. Our weather radar application also displays 5 minute standalone rainfall imagery to 500 metre resolution making it the highest resolution radar in the United Kingdom.
If the map is blank this means there is no cloud to ground lightning strikes or thunderstorms currently affecting the UK or northern France.
App permissions
UK Storm Radar 1.8 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows applications to access information about networks.

1 ★ Account suspended (them not me) does not work anymore. Waste of time. Uninstalled.
2 ★ Loved it til it was changed to black. Very difficult to read now and if it's not changed back soon will be uninstalled for a competitor. ☹

3 ★ Used to work brilliantly and used this app all the time but now it doesn't show any live data. Big shame
3 ★ I've been looking for a decent weather map app and this one is rather good. It worked fine when I first installed it but since then it keeps freezing when I try to zoom in or use any other features. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
4 ★ Loaded the app ok ..started the app just gives one big blank white page....uninstall ed. It ..sad...reinstated it ...now working ok..feels good will see if it stays working. 😊
4 ★ Used to be a great app for supporting incoming rain on the radar but I think they have gone bust. They're has been no data for a while and their website is down.
3 ★ Disappointed with this app. Always freezes and never able to refresh. Even if I close the app down and clear the cache it still comes up at the same point as when I closed it down. 😑

2 ★ Was fine but now is black and white ?? Thought was glitch and seems not... had to go get another app... shame as had had it ages and why change to b&w ?
1 ★ It's raining yet nothing can be seen on your map and why is it Black I think you've made a very big mistake I will reinstall and try again if not this will be uninstalled as an app that no longer works?
3 ★ It's not as good as it was before the update, it's 9 minutes slow and doesn't look like the black and blue like the pictures you have showing, it doesn't show up lightning like it used to either.
2 ★ Nothing happens when I open this app, all I can see is a map of England but nothing else, I have tried reloaded and reopening this app but remains the same. Not impressed.
3 ★ Is not really a competitor for the Netweather app which boasts far more reliable features and a higher quality app as well as precision accuracy but is a good attempt.
