Description
This application has 2 working modes:
Simulation. This mode is automatically selected when no data acquisition equipment is connected to the mobile. Recorded data from a calibration pattern are presented. You can stop and start the acquisition and change some parameters such as offset, gain and phase of the signal.
Real. When an ETboxUSB equipment for data acquisition is connected to the mobile, data of eddy currents are acquired and presented in real time. These data reflect the signal collected by the sensor connected to the equipment and you can detect defects in metallic materials such as aluminum, copper, steel, etc. You can also change all kinds of parameters such as frequency, amplitude, gain and even add and program filters.
The aim of the application is to help understand the effect of eddy currents in materials and their use for defect detection by non-destructive testing methods.
The application and the data acquisition equipment to which it is connected is designed for informational purposes and not for inspection work.
