App permissions

SwannView Plus 3.0.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to write the apn settings.

Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows an application to record audio.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

1 ★ Had for several years, now won't work on any of my new android phones or devices . And no updates available.

1 ★ Another app out of at least ten that's a total waste of time, doesn't load properly and can't view playback or notifications etc, buyer please beware don't waste your money

1 ★ Waste of money. The worst system on the market. App works when it wants to, not when you need it. I hope you read this before you purchase their cameras.

1 ★ App is now outdated making the viewing of expensive cctv cameras impossible. This is not peace of mind or security, I relied on these cameras to feel safe, put my faith in a company that has ultimately left me with empty promises, a useless system and many sleepless nights to look forward to. Future Swann buyers beware.

2 ★ I have had this camera system for a while and absolutely loved it. But, this morning I went to look at my cameras via. my mobile phone and they no longer could be viewed. There was a message stating that the app is out dated and no longer compatible. Basically the cameras are now useless. I'm not very happy at this time. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. I would have given a one star but for years it has worked great. The company really should address this issue.

2 ★ Needs work. Slow to open, cameras take way too long to load same when switching camera views.

1 ★ Worst app on my phone! I paid hundreds of dollars for cameras that I cannot view remotely. It's obvious Swann isn't concerned about having a decent working system. They haven't bothered to try to fix any issues with the app in going on four years. Apparently getting your money once is enough for them...because if you're smart, you'll do your research and buy a different system next time. I know I will! Swann SUCKS!!!

1 ★ last month the app has stopped working. pretty freaking pointless that there are no updates for the software. I'm about ready to s**t can the whole system and get a different brand of cameras. I liked the fact that I could remotely monitor my home. And now more than ever I need a system that is going to deliver that. I have tried every work around and emailed and called the company and still no fixes. 😡😡

2 ★ Good app for a quick view but unable to keep watching the cameras. App doesn't keep phone awake resulting in screen dimming and turning off, which promptly disconnects the app from cameras. Not much of a problem at home as it reconnects quickly but when you're using Internet to connect to your cameras it can take a while to reconnect 4 cameras again. I wish this could be fixed, it is literally couple of lines of code.

1 ★ My in laws and I installed our CCTV system around 12 months ago along with this app. No problems what so ever until just over a week ago. The in laws, and our app has stopped working at the same time and states cannot connect to the server. please get this sorted otherwise I will be looking at getting a different system.

1 ★ App is out of date, Phone updated a week ago and as soon as I opened tbe app to check my cameras, got a notice that this app may not work because it is out of date, and it didnt... Unless you want to wait for hrs to get intouch with tech support it's a waste of time to call and they have no clue!! Was a good app, slow, and locks up, but now wont work at all.... 👎👎

1 ★ Had this since 2015 from Sam's Club and this has not been updated. This was my third Swann over the years. Since it's not important to theme time to look for something new and reliable! They're stuck in time! Oh, I did do the beta version but it was worse! Glad it's not my company being left behind!

1 ★ Started out great, but at some point this app went to complete garbage. I can no longer view any of the 4 cameras that I spent a 3 day weekend in my attic installing. BEWARE of Swann.
