Description
This application simulates and corrects color blindness in real-time using the integrated camera of your phone - so it is also a simple augmented reality application. All common colorblindness types are supported, it is also possible to compare with normal vision.
We are always reachable via apps@seewald.at in case there are problems.
IF IT DOES NOT RUN - SEND CRASH REPORT! IF IT IS TOO SLOW - USE HALF-SIZE MODE FROM MENU! 1* COMMENTS WITH JUST THE MOBILE PHONE MODEL WILL BE IGNORED. IF YOU WANT IT FIXED YOU HAVE TO CONTACT US DIRECTLY.

5 ★ I am so happy I found this app! My 10 year old is color blind and this allows me to see the world the way he does. It's fun for both of us and allows me to better understand why he likes certain things more than others, particularly clothing choices. I'm in the graphic design field and have above average color vision myself, so while it saddens me a bit that he can't appreciate color, this app helps me understand his vision and sparks some interesting conversations.
5 ★ I took color vision tests at two websites and got strong protanopia at 8:30. At 9 o'clock I installed this app, and the smallest app on the phone made the largest change to my body!! It doubled as the $600+ spectacles. I am finally able to beat Ishihara at least :D (maybe one day i'll be able to see the rainbow too :D)
4 ★ The actual heart of the app is great. The GUI could use a bit of improvement. Tapping the corners of the screen is a bit weird, and can be done on accident. A three way toggle, or maybe a setup menu for what you want would be better. As a color blind person, it's also impossible to tell if the split screen is on. A black line down the middle would be great.
5 ★ This is a terrific app. Previously, when friends/strangers learned I am colorblind, it was always stupid questions like "what does it look like to you?" and "what color is this?" Now I just show them this app, and without fail they are completely amazed at how I see the world. I also learned, thanks to this app, that apparently human skin looks "zombie-like" to me when my normal color vision friends use it to look at people. Maybe that's a part of why I'm attracted to certain women and not others.
5 ★ This could be a good app if the developer would update it to check the camera sensor orientation and adjust accordingly. As it is, the view on a Nexus 5X is inverted, making it difficult to use to evaluate (for example) the image. Developer says this has been addressed in the latest version. Not sure if it's ok on the Nexus 5X as I've since upgraded to a Pixel, where it does currently work fine. Very handy for verifying that a given data visualization will be acceptable for your colorblind audience.
2 ★ This app does not do spectral frequency manipulation, so it does not work for the common anomalous forms of colour blindness such as protanomaly or deutanomaly. This makes it useless if you have these. If the app included facilities to make spectral frequency manipulation adjustments, it would be excellent.
4 ★ I use this app to help me identify green conductors in various types of low voltage cables. It is a life saver for me, but I can't emphasize enough how frustrating it is that I often can't get the camera to focus on what I need to have it focus on. Especially when the lighting is somewhat low, and I have to focus on something close-up, I am frustrated by the camera not focusing consistently. The camera in my Note 4 is very good, but not with this app. I've experienced the same problem with my Galaxy S5, too
5 ★ Great app. The only thing I would like is to be able to adjust how bad the color blindness is. You can adjust the intensity of the correction, but not the other screen. My son is 61% color blind and I'd like to see the world the way he does.
