Armada was formed in 2007 under the name Kertas with the formation of Rizal (vocals), Radha & Mai (guitar), Endra (bass), and Andit (drums). Their music genre is pop. They released their debut album, which is entitled Lover that is not considered. However, this album was less successful. In 2008, Kertas also changed its name to Armada and released their second album entitled Reply Dendam with the single song Gagal Bercinta and the group's name began to be heard.
