3 ★ Mostly a good app... Just many words that do have simple signs are finger spelled by this app. Im a hearing impared person who has been learning ASL as an adult and in social situations its helped but sometime hindered with no sign, wrong or english. Some signs are hard to see correctly also. I think good for beginners.
5 ★ THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! THIS APP is a MUST HAVE !!👏👏👏 IT takes communication using ASL, to a New LEVEL!! Wow !! I have been missing out on SO MUCH. Hearing impaired or not, YOU Will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!👐👐👐👍👍👂👂👀 People, remember it says in the beginning that this is a NEW APP. Don't criticize it so much. Give it a Chance for improvement,. That's why we rate and comment. 🎆🎉🎊 👀👀👂👂👍👍👐👏👐🙊🙉🙈😇
5 ★ This app is awesome for learning sign language!! Love that you can type in your phrase and the avatar will translate!! Will be even better as the dictionary is expanded. Also really cool to rotate the avatar to see the signs from different angles. You can even slow down or speed up the signing!
2 ★ Sorry but I been in a relationship with a deaf person 17 yrs. Am I a pro no. But sorry. There's no knowledge in this app. Too much spelling! Hard to make a sign app I totally understand. Make him sign the words and not just spell them. U can get by with spelling the words but best to learn the actual sign. Needs much improvement!
5 ★ Get it definitely if Ur learning ASL. Some of the words like don't are spelled, but it's still a work in progress and what they've done so far is great. It'd also be better if the guy talked that way you see and hear as Ur learning. It'll stick in Ur brain better that way. OVERALL...epic app. Even with the slight disadvantages, you still can't give this less that 5 stars.
5 ★ I know you're still in the progress of working on the English language, but I really love it. My in-laws are both deaf and this is helping me so much when it comes to learning so I can talk with them more. I showed them this app and they thought it was really cool. Apps like this help make the world a better place by bridging the gap between those who normally wouldn't be able to communicate fluidly. Thank you so much and keep the good work.
4 ★ I really enjoy the translations for ASL. The only gripe I have is some words it finger spells instead of the sign for the word. No biggie because I really like the app! Also I wish you can change the translator into a female translator. Other than that, it's amazing!
4 ★ Really helpful as we now have a grandson who is deaf. Learning so much! A bit disappointing as there are several words that deaf pro just spells, when I am sure there are signs. Especially enjoy learning to sign songs at church
5 ★ Alive interpret suppose be at dr my appt. Somehow interpret still with client at hosp other person not vailble so i use this prodeaf transler. Made dr so happy. Yes it worth.. next appt if interpret stuck unable help ill use it. Thank you for invented this program. Keep up upgrade improve ....
2 ★ This has the potential to be a great app, except for one thing. Those message boxes, which inform you that the app is listening to you and then translating for you covers most of the middle of the illustration so that you miss half of what you want to see! Repeating it doesn't help; the same message pops up and obscures the figure. Sorry, but I'm going to have to uninstall. I'm SO disappointed!
4 ★ Being fluent in ASL, I noticed there were several grammatical mistakes that should be fixed. For example, proper ASL never uses the word "I" for "me." Certain hand shapes are slightly off, but they're still intelligible. Great app for beginners or if you tend to forget a weird sign. Don't get worried if your wrist can't do a full 360° turn like the little avatar! Would love a fingerspelling test! Love it! @dev: If you need any help with signs, I can help you out with a lot of great resources!
4 ★ I think this app is great expect for one thing. When the guy is turned to the side it's hard to see the hand geatures because his hand's are past the screen and you can't see them. For someone who just found out they're going deaf and want to see the proper way you're supposed to move your hand's, hand's done this app is great for that lol!
4 ★ I'm very glad that I came back to this app! Now that they've added ASL and fixed whatever bug was messing with it it's become a extremely useful tool. Thank you for getting back to me and recommending that I try again!
4 ★ A lot of signs don't match what my deaf friends use, might just be American vs Canadian signing though? It can be kind of hard to understand the avatar sometimes too but overall very helpful.
3 ★ Has a good amount of common and useful words. You can also rotate the image somewhat to get a better angle. However, the gestures go by too quickly and it's hard to tell the handshapes due to the generic nature of the CG model. - In its current form I can see this app being very useful for people whose ASL may be a little bit rusty and who need to quickly look up a sign they've forgotten. A beginner; however, might have a difficult time learning from it without some other source of instruction. 👍
