App permissions

SkyView Cam 3.2.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to write the apn settings.

Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

1 ★ Dev seems to be more interested in releasing a million different versions of this app that only seem to work for one particular model of DVRs instead of patching their existing apps, and it appears this is the only version that works for mine... except it doesn't. App crashes each time it connects.

1 ★ Works great on KitKat but can't use this at all now that all of my devices have updated to lollipop. This is a major problem since I heavily rely on remote access to my cams through my devices.

3 ★ Crashes with latest Android update. Please release an update to fix! When it was working it was 5 stars.

3 ★ Only works over my home Wifi but not over any other and it doesn't work on AT&T 4G either! I can't check away from my home. Crap!

1 ★ Since new update to Android lollipop on Samsung GS5, app will force close immediately upon opening. Fix the app for the newest Android OS and it's a great app

1 ★ I have the Samsung Galaxy S5 and SkyView Cam won't work on it on T-Mobile's 4G network - every time I open the app, it crashes. I get the following error message: "Unfortunately, SkyView Cam has stopped." - you can click OK or report it. What's really odd is that it works OK over my Wi-Fi network at home. I don't understand that one.

1 ★ This app works fine on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (running Kit Kat), but crashes at launch on my Nexus 7 (running Lollypop). EDIT: my S4 updated to Lollipop, and this app crashes at launch.

5 ★ Works for me with the LV-D2104CS DVR model. Home router and DVR both need proper configuration (ports forwarded). P2P available in the app, however, does not seem to available on the DVR (waiting for a firmware update release by LaView for my DVR model). All in all, a good experience, image is decently clear, the app allows viewing live stream as well as having access to recordings and taking snapsots/videos).

1 ★ Used to love this because I could check in on the office now cannot with my update from Kitkat to Lollypop please correct so I can get you back to 5 Stars.

1 ★ Stopped working when I changed phones. Nexus 6 running lollipop. Won't even stay open. Bummer it used to work just fine.

4 ★ Limited only by the camera views. If you update the app with more viewing options on screen instead of forcing 4 cam view maximum on screen, this app will be perfect. Nice video, easy to setup and it allow you to remote playback from you DVR which is great! Also allow you to record directly on your device. Developers, add more camera view options please!

1 ★ This app worked great until the lollipop update. now it doesn't work at all, tried contacting the developer and getting no response.

3 ★ Was working well until lollipop came. Now it crashed before it loads the feed

1 ★ Bought a LaView camera system and it says this is the application you have to use to remotely monitor your cameras. I have a brand new phone and as soon as you click Start live view the application crashes. Returned everything back to Amazon.
