Description
It caters for all ages and the content is tailored for the age of the user. As everyone learns differently, we have used a range of media types to appeal to all users. So, if you learn by reading, there's text. Or, just be inspired by the images and videos. Or, maybe you want to get the app to read to you with text-to-speech or listen to an audio excerpt from a related podcast or audio clip.
We want to make learning about Black Britons engaging and fun for all. For our younger users, we want this app to be:
Educational - Search by names, locations and events to learn about figures that fit with their curriculum.
Entertaining - We are always going to be updating our content and features to improve the app.
Independence building - Content tailored for different age ranges. The Guide Reading feature allows children to learn from even more complex text.
Inspiring - Helping users discover new figures based on their interests.
