The issue of ownership of property between husband and wife continues until death comes to fetch, namely the legal problem of inheritance.

1. Husband dies

If the husband dies leaving the wife, the wife becomes the heir to her husband. The wife gets a certain value from her husband's assets, sometimes gets 1/8 part but can also get ¼ part. Depending on whether the deceased when he died has a far ’heir or heir, i.e.

All of that has become a direct provision of Allah SWT, as mentioned in Al-Quran Al-Karim in the following verse:

"And they get 1/4 of what you leave if you don't have children. If you have children, the wives get one-eighth of the assets you leave after fulfilling your will or (and) after your debts are paid. ( Surat An-Nisa ': 12)
