E-Bike customization
The Giant RideControl app lets you customize the motor settings the get the most out of your rides. Match the motor settings to your riding style. You can choose for more power and aggressive performance for a quick blast. Or turn it down a notch to make it more efficient for your long and epic adventures.
Navigation
Use the RideControl app for turn-by-turn navigation specifically designed for the bike. If your E-Bike is equipped with a compatible RideControl EVO display you can synchronize turn by turn navigation to your display, so there is no need to keep your phone at hand.
Record your Rides
Record your rides in detail and share it with your friends. You can choose to synchronize all rides with Strava or manually upload to social media.
App permissions
RideControl App v1.27.2.0 APK requires following permissions:

4 ★ I the app is good but need to be improved. A suggestion : Why not to connect directly to the last bike when opening the app ? It will be not necessary to manually connect the bike every time. Also, I cannot save my ride a the end of the ride, I have a message "cannot save your ride" but no explanation of the reason. An Idea ? Thanks to read me !
1 ★ Issues with Update 4.4. Finishes update, asks to reconnect and when you do prompts you to do update 4.4 and you go round in circles. Choosing to do the update later means the bike never connects to the app. Giant, please sort this out. It is extremely frustrating buying a bike worth thousands of dollars from one of the biggest bike brands only to have issues with the app every time I try to use it.
2 ★ Went to check battery percentage mid ride (ride control 1) and adjust power setting, only to be told the app needed to update and therfore won't connect to the bike until updated. Not something I want to do using data rather than WiFi and reliant on a fast data signal even if I did. Also, why not connect to the last connected bike automatically rather than having to do it manually everytime. Power settings reset to full all the time. Very poor ux
1 ★ Similar to others... huge problems updating! I don't get stuck in a loop, I just can't update! I press the button to update over and over and NOTHING HAPPENS. Honestly the worst app I have ever encountered! I shouldn't be this hard to update software. It is crazy. Why do I need to go to the bike store to do what you promised in your app! Terrible
2 ★ Terrible App. Won't connect with Strava. Won't record distance after pausing ride. App shuts down constantly. Giant, you need to sort this app out. A lot of disappointed customers out there that have paid a lot of money for your great bikes. Don't let yourself down with a terrible App. The least you could do is sort the glitches out.
1 ★ I have trying for two days to update my 2020 e bike without success. It tells me each time to update the bike .I follow instructions then go back to update ride control .Each time it repeats itself .However if this carries on I will just use my smart watch for gps and don't even worry about this ridiculous app . How on earth does this matter come to be so stupid for a simple task . The mapping that I used to use does not even function properly. When will Giant corp finally listen to their buyers of their bikes or is it they do not give a monkeys
1 ★ Hold Off on the Ride Control 4-4 update until they get the bugs figured out! I have a Note 20 Ultra running Android 11, One UI 3.1 and the April 1st patch. After I disconnect my phone from my bike, and turn off my Trance +1 pro 2019, I can't turn my bike controller back on.....I have to remove my battery then put battery back on before my bike controller will turn on again. This is a huge problem. Also, my phone no longer automatically connects to my bike I have to manually connect. Please fix!
4 ★ Update: Now it works fine again! :-) Old Review: Problem with Update Ridecontrol 4-4. When I try to connect to the bike the app forces me to update my Ridecontrol Firmware. It downloads the update, installs it and finishes correctly with 100% completed. Then the app tells me, that I have to reconnect. When I reconnect the apps tells me that I have to update again and again and again. :-( App is unusable now! Sh..
3 ★ App used with the FastRide E+EX Pro 2021. The recent update provides notable improvements. I particularly appreciate the memorizing of assist power settings, whereas prior to the update, these had to be manually input on every power up, so my thanks to the developers. A much needed additional improvement would be to stop the app timer when the bike speed is zero. Presently the app gives incorrect average speed and cadence data because the timer continues to run when the bike speed is zero.
3 ★ Ride Control App, Edited Review: Ok, so my first review wasn't favorable. The app said ît needed to update my bike but it wouldn't do it on my phone, no matter what I tried. Easy enough for me to take the bike to the shop and have them do it for me. Done in 15 min, no grief. App now connects and talks to bike. Quick test ride looks to show accurate telemetry. Haven't been able to fully test yet but looks good so far. 1 star to 3, potentially more to come based on continuing positive experience.
1 ★ Update put the app into a loop. The best solution I had found in the comments, tank you: turn off mobile data and WiFi. Then the app is able to connect with your bike. It's a very smart solution in this and any other circumstances you need. Happy to find it but still angry with Giant.
1 ★ Hasn't registered a single ride yet. Only useful to see how much battery I have. Other than that it's completely useless Update - now won't work unless I update the app, and seems to be unable to update - I just keep going round and round. So now, I can't even use it to see how much battery I have left. Absolutely useless
1 ★ Update keeps looping without success, just like everyone else is saying. Old app doesn't work anymore. Can't adjust bike and can't see the battery percentage. Update: I'm able to connect to the bike if I turn of all data connections (cellular and wifi) on my phone. It's annoying anyway.
1 ★ Stuck in a loop. When connecting to e trance + 2019 says before using bike must be updated on connecting to the bike. Select update shows a screen with an update button and the text updates available but it's blank and does nothing. Can no longer use the app. The update loop issue isn't fixed as per the comments in the app.
3 ★ Finally got Bios uodates to work - found that APp was out of date (1.60.08)!!! But BT Reconnection can fail if ebike turns off. Numerous minor bugs.bad choice of font colors. Bad grammer. Navigation needs work. Updates to STRAVA still fail and Disconnect from STRAVA fails. No HRM connect.Battery range optimistic.
