Description
Earth Interactive is an interactive tool to explore electronic tablets by geography, climate and geodynamics of the earth.
This project is made possible by the experts of the IPGP (Institute of Earth Physics of Paris) and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).
Earth Interactive is an educational and fun application that lets you explore layering on the globe showing clouds, land and sea temperatures and the global distribution of vegetation, snow and ice throughout the year.
Additional layers will allow you and your students explore plate tectonics, volcanoes, earthquakes and faults.
Change interactive 3D view of the 2D map view with a single click.
Maps available:
• Geography: Topography, Oceans and Seas, Rivers, Cycling (*), Vegetation (*), Deserts, Mountains.
• climatology: climates, temperature continents (*), sea surface temperatures (*), Atmosphere (*) thermohaline circulation (*), surface ocean currents.
• Geodynamics: Volcanism, Earthquakes, Faults, Plate Tectonics, Continental drift (*).
