App permissions

RIVA WAND 3.1 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows applications to change network connectivity state.

Allows an application to read or write the system settings.

3 ★ Glaring shortcoming with the way this app handles USB source. There is no way to play all files in a folder without adding each one individually to the queue. Should be able to reorder the queue via drag-and-drop but it only seems to do the drag part. All other features work fine but please developers give some better controls and playlist management for file source.

3 ★ The speaker is outstanding great sound and lots of inputs but why the hell does this app only works with the wi-fi on? Riva at least on the app turbo x we add the options to see if the speaker was fully charge and set the volumes directly from the smartphone. Im talking about when we are using the bluetooth functionality. At least the setup of the speaker should be made offline just in this case. But for those that use more than one speaker at home its perfectly justified the wireless conection to setup the diferent speakers. Im just saying that for the away mode bluetooh audio i should control the speaker how i wanted showing the volume control and the level of the battery life remain without the wireless conection giving the fact that the speaker works just fine. Other than this it works flawless.

3 ★ I am giving 3 stars but honestly there's a lot of problems with it. For example, I can't change the volume of the speaker in the Android app. The same function works well on ios. Please solve the bug and update the Android app. By the way, customer service is simply not existant, ridiculous.

2 ★ Running an old app version because newer updates are not compatible with my Festival. The Festival sounds is awesome, love the speaker, the wireless tech/support is lacking. I think they abandoned support for the non Alexa speakers generation. 2 stars because I can still control the Festival most of the time with old version.

1 ★ Does not allow to Stereo Group as Left and Right as indicated in manual and tutorial.

1 ★ Does not work. My Festival is configured in Google Home but the app does not discover it and asks me to open Google Home to add the speaker... The speaker is fantastic but it seems that I need the app for eq features. If the app is not working the speaker is worthless

4 ★ Please add a detailed equalizer. Beg. The Riva Festival has too much low bass for me. I would really like to cut the lowest frequencies.

4 ★ The speakers are fantastic. Works work seamlessly with Google Cast over Wi-Fi. The Bluetooth and line-in audio options also work well. I wish the speaker would automatically choose line in is something was plugged in. The app isn't as sophisticated as Sonos but...Google Cast. Sonos just doesn't do that. And the Riva arena speakers sound much better than Sonos One speakers. Bottom line, the Riva app could do better, but the speakers are superior, and the source options are outstanding. Pick your poison, great speakers with an okay app (Riva), or okay speakers with a great app (Sonos).

4 ★ Some glitches, volume and equalizer slider won't slide. You net to tap somewhere to increase or decrease the levels. The speaker sound quality is exceptionally huge and clean. It's fun to listen.

4 ★ App does not work, can not see and connect to the RIVA ARENA via WiFi network, the speaker works fine with google home. Update: I managed to connect it and it seems to work fine now. Will update if something goes wrong again.

3 ★ The new version of this app fails to find all speakers often and has to close and reopen to find them. The prior version did not have this problem. The volume is more granular but still not good enough, needs more finite steps. A % or number feedback would be helpful so ideal volume settings could be remembered/reproduced. This is important for balance between rooms and also for transient noise that requires different volumes like taking a shower. Knowing the best volume setting for the activity would be helpful instead of guessing and setting it each time. The speaker icons at each end of the volume bar need to work as plus and minus buttons to avoid the janky volume adjuster not moving right. Wanted to note I have 3 festivals and 1 arena. Update: New version of the app still fails to find speakers but using the refresh button once or twice seems to solve this instead of having to close and reopen the app to get it to find them. Still desperately need app to show a number scale/percentage to know your exact audio setting for future use. Speaker icons at both ends of audio scale operating as + and - would be great. Sound modes power vs. trillium appear to have been removed as well as left and right speaker functionality for the festival models. Not sure why that was done and there was no announcement. This does not affect me but if I had $1,000 worth of festivals set up as left and right and they didn't say anything to me and took it away I'd be pretty mad.

3 ★ This app does not work, I am controlling the speaker with Google Home and my server Disk Station DS Audio app

4 ★ The Playlist over wifi suddenly stops and the Audio output option is missing. All else is good.
