Following an accident in June in the Var, an ultralight pilot injured leg was rescued after over 24 hours of research.
He was able to communicate that too approximate position of his position to a friend via SMS.

Aeronav knowing the precise position, we added a function to send the position of the device by SMS to one or two pre-stored numbers.
This function can be used in an emergency or simply to communicate its position to the recipient.
The message includes: the date and time of sending, the position (latitude and longitude) and a link to display the location on a map on the recipient's phone.


The function location sharing via SMS blocking the dissemination of Aeronav on the Play Store for tablets without a SIM card (the amount is not insignificant) and was temporarily suspended.
We reworked this function by encapsulating it in a complementary module and is now available.

For users of Aeronav on phone (or tablet with SIM card), the first use of the SMS location sharing function, the program offers to load the add-on directly from the Play Store.
For devices that can not transfer SMS (tablet), this module is logically not available on the Play Store.
