Windy.app - wind, waves and weather forecast app for surfers, kitesurfers, windsurfers, sailors, fishermen and other wind sports.

3 ★ Overall nice app. Some small scale models are not up to date, making them useless for last minute tuning. Also no way to choose which model the widget is based on so it is not optimal.

4 ★ Just learning, and not a weather tech but for kayaking the big lakes I need this. I really appreciate the detail in this app and hope to use it as a guide tool. I also bike and X-C ski.

5 ★ Easily the best app I have used so far. I use it for kayaking (guide/instructor) all the time and the predictions are very reliable up to the hour and time when the wind/waves/swell, change speed and direction. The PRO version with all the features unlocked it makes your planning even easier ( a MUST have). I'm certainly very happy with it. Thanks to the WindyApp team for the great work.

4 ★ 99% great just one suggestion to the devs: instead of using a Mecator Projection, display the weather on a 3d globe.

5 ★ As a retired merchant navy navigator the recent developments make this app excellent for general weather status and forecasting, particularly when family seek advice and a reputation is at stake .. !!

5 ★ This app helps us plan our travels when towing our travel trailer. It gives us the ability to plan calmer travel routes/days/times, and has saved our lives many times from being in winds that would have rolled us over. This app is worth every penny if you drive a big rig, rv, or tow anything - trailer, hauling, tow truck, boat, etc.

5 ★ To be honest when I took the free trial of this app I never dreamed I pay for a subscription. There are loads of free weather apps right? But not like Windy. I am a fisherman and the info the app provides me coupled with it's ease of use and customisation options now makes it indispensable. Very impressed.

5 ★ Glad I discovered this app. It's reasonably intuitive and informative. I found it much better than a well known similar app that comes up first in searches. I briefly tried free version of 'the rival' and quickly uninstalled the other app as it was not as user friendly or useful as this app.

2 ★ The software bleeds customers dry with recurring subscription fees and no option to buy it once and for all. Millions of companies and professionals around the globe thrive just fine by selling instead of renting their products, so there is no reason why we should accept to pay ad infinitum on mobile devices. This milkingware has been uninstalled, because I have better things to do than keeping an eye on a sporadically appearing whatever in some random app. Make it easy to find and permanent!

1 ★ I do not recall subscribing to this app, but was suddenly billed $43 dollars for a whole year. If you're not prepared to pay or aren't sure whether you want this app, don't download. I may have thought I was doing some 7 day free trial but I had no idea I would be billed $43. I can't tell you whether it was a good app or not. I have no reason to spend $43 on a weather app, so I am hoping that I can get my money back

1 ★ Very confusing and incorrect. I ride in Pompano Beach, FL. This app very seldom has been right with wind speed and direction. I don't know if it's, because I'm so close to the ocean. I look at the flag on my beach to determine what the speed and direction are.

1 ★ Appears to be paid version only. After downloading you'll hit a paywall before being able to use anything. My recommendation is to Get a different app. In my opinion Not worth it.

3 ★ Dislike new interface.. too much screen taken w.( largely irrelevant and one time use) favorites. Getting to the info that Windy does so well & so uniquely is an extra step too far

5 ★ This application is super interesting to have. The graphics are great! I often look at how the winds are blowing in different parts of the world.

5 ★ i use it for cycling - its ideal. I use the bike profile when planning a ride. This way I can make sure the wind is in the optimal direction for the homebound leg. Absolutely vital tool for cyclists.
