Writer Sync (Google Drive) 1.04 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

1 ★ This app is terrible. Absolutely awful. Do not get it - it will not sync your files and you are in real danger of losing most of your work which is what happened to me. Please don't make the same mistake. Of you want, select all and copy and paste on to another document if you need to back it up but do not sync - you may lose those countless hours of work - awful app!

1 ★ HELP! I loaded this app and did the sync and now ALL MY FILES ARE GONE. dozens of files. Gone. This sync app created the folder in Drive, but there are NO FILES in Drive, or on my phone. Total emptiness everywhere. I wanted something that would keep me from having to share each file buy now i really wish i had just done it the hard way. I feel like crying.

2 ★ The word is INCONVENIENT.. I mean come on the app is so perfect... give a backup option in setting.. Cant hav an extra app just to sync..combine these 2 and you will hav the best app in the entire playstore... chrees.. Keep up the good work.. Looking forward for an update that fixes this

3 ★ After the second sync, some files from the app itself were removed. I panicked and thought they were deleted, but they were in my Drive. It would be great if the files wouldn't disappear from the app after syncing.

2 ★ Very bad sync, lost files in each sync. Please fix it becouse writer plus very good up, but whith out sync isnt bad.

2 ★ It syncs but has issues. I have four files: three older ones and a newer one. When I sync, it seems to toggle the files. Either the newer file remains and all the older ones are copied to Drive add deleted on the phone, or vice versa: the older files remain on the phone and the newer one is deleted. All files are still on Google Drive, though. Another thing I noticed: When I press the "Open Writer+" button, it seems to create a new instance of WP. This is a problem because if I open a document in WP (call it WP1), make some changes, go to WPS to sync, and click the button, it's as if I'm working on a new document (WP2). Then if I make changes in WP2, press the back button until I exit, I fall back to WP1, which contains the older version of my document, without changes. And if I press the back button again to exit, it saves the current version of the document, which overwrites my changes and voila! Lots of work lost. 😣

5 ★ Does exactly what it says. Simple to use with no clutter. However there are still significant sync issues that remove files from the phone when they are synced to a Google drive.

1 ★ Doesn't actually sync, I had years of work backed up and I actually thought was backing up too, now i have a new phone and it says there is no backup this app has wasted all the hard work i had.

3 ★ It's a start. Ideally I'd like to have my notes automatically backed up, not have to open this separate app and manually sync.

1 ★ Loses Files. Entertaining: sync once and get one set of files, sync again and get another. Makes me realize though: there must be lots of Google Drive sync-ing apps out there. Love, love, love WriterPlus though!

3 ★ The files are moved into Google drive after "sync" which is nice and all but the files disappear from the writer plus app :/ I hope this gets fixed.

2 ★ it deleted the character bio i created, along with some other writer plus files... not happy... :/

3 ★ I was having problems with this app and thinking that my files were gone because I couldn't find them on the app or on drive but I figured out that it just saves them to a different place then I thought. So I found them and figured it out but it was all still really inconvenient.

3 ★ Still in the process of tinkering with the application itself can't say anything definitive about it yet. I'll submit a full review after I've had time to go on inside and mess around with it's guts.

1 ★ This app does NOT sync files. It swaps them. Each location will gain new files at the cost of losing old ones. Furthermore, this doesn't even work on my phone, running 4.4.4. The so-called Sync button is greyed out. However, that button works on my tablet, running 4.4.2.
