Description

App permissions

Soliom 1.1.2 APK requires following permissions:

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.

Allows an application to call killBackgroundProcesses(String].

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows an application to expand or collapse the status bar.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

2 ★ Moved the camera and now nothing...it worked fine for several months, now, a lot of nothing. Will trust my dog to alert us.

1 ★ I bought this solar camera thinking it would last at least few years. No it didn't. It only lasted exactly on year and warranty has no expired. Solar battery stopped charging. Im charging now with my USB and now it doesn't want to connect to app at all. Waste of 150 bucks. So sad.😢

2 ★ The camera quality is nice when placed in a spot where it is sunny enough to recharge the batteries. The video quality is good and the microphone does a pretty good job. That being said.....the app is awful. It takes forever to load the feeds and I have not been able to view events that have been triggered (which are far and few between as the detection is sub par).

3 ★ It's OK. I have a S90 and a S60 and the app works fairly well on both cameras. One small problem with S90 is that the SD card settings doesn't stick. It keeps showing Cloud Storage although it does seem to be writing to the SD card. The S60 SD card setting sticks just fine. Both cameras record fine but even with a strong WiFi signal, the video occasionally stutters. I'm not sure if that's a hardware or software problem. Pairing was easy. Always connects with my Time Capsule.

2 ★ Worked fine for 2 days. Now, PIR and cloud storage no longer function. Don't know if it's worth the $ to buy an SD card to see if this fixes the problem because I can't be sure if these issues are with the camera or the app(!). I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app and reset/re-paired the camera THREE times (along with mobile device restarts) and nothing has changed! Currently, this only functions as a live-view web cam with the ability to record *manually only*. Pointless!

1 ★ My mother purchased one of these cameras, and I was tapped to set up. I never succeeded in pairing it with either an Android or Apple phone. It forever says "Camera ready for pairing" then "Camera information received." On the Apple phone it wouldn't allow selection or entry of the wifi network name and setup failed. On android, the setup reached 100% and never moved forward. Then there is the incessant high pitched whirring sound while it is scanning. Bad product all around. Want money back!

2 ★ The app appears to sometime function if you use cloud storage but recordings are very low resolution. I previously could scroll back in time and view what looked like better quality video during "events" saved to the 64gb Samsung microSD card but that doesn't appear to work anymore if you're more than a minute or 2 from the current time. I hear some sound but no video. Wish there was an option to download the full quality video clips that are recorded when the cloud storage videos are recorded.

3 ★ Thanks for a Soliom Costumer's they help me to fix my cameras problems fell free to cantact them if something not works or working bad. At this moment Cameras works just motion detection range is 10 feet no more and sometimes video freezes. everything else works fine except The Soliom App sometimes i cant connect to my cameras.

4 ★ Camera is good quality and easy to fit in place. Avoid North facing positioning though to keep the battery charged up from the solar panels. Only problem I have found is that there is no way I can see to change the clock time in the UK to BST or GMT

1 ★ I would give it a zero if I could. Doesn't load 3 quarters of the time. Doesn't record video unless prompted to and the app has to stay open on your phone while it does it. Doesn't play back video. This camera and the app are useless.

1 ★ Couldnt get anything to work. Camera started up at first for install then turned off. Could not reboot or turn back on. The original USB cable broke and an identical cable didnt seem to work--I couldnt tell because there is no charging indicator or light. We're returning it.

2 ★ Great camera. however the apps nih a lot of improvement. I unable to disable the notification even when I put the permission to blocked. The search button is very small and cannot be expanded so very difficult to seach events within few minutes.

1 ★ This app is horrible. doesn't work half the time and when it does it freezes, lags and most of the time it doesn't alert you to activity. I have emailed Solium twice now and have never heard back. I've made a terrible purchase with this Wifi camera, don't do the same.

1 ★ App doesn't always work or I have to be close to the camera to view. Notifications do not work properly either.....so disappointed. And when I update it doesn't seem like anything changed for the better or it just gets worse 😫

1 ★ Camera worked well for a few months, noticed it was off the network and have not been able to get the camera to connect again. Software is as primitive an app I ever saw and utterly worthless. There is zero support on app or device...GARBAGE.
