PictureThis - Plant Identifier 5.1.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

2 ★ Overral, the app is helpful but would be great if the following issues did not exist: Unable to upload new progress pics. Each time I upload a pic, it doesn't show up. This used to work but doesn't now. 'No internet connection' error when there is internet connection. Monstera Peru is not in your data base. Please fix this. UPDATE Way too glitchy for me. The constant "no internet connection" false error when trying to upload photos is far too annoying! Will not be renewing subscription.

4 ★ While I would give this app 5 stars for the custom support for plants you get for the money, I am dropping a star because the app itself is a little more limited than I was hoping. While you can get reminders to water and fertilize, they don't work unless the app is open! (Every other app using reminders that I have work whether its open or not) Also would have expected the app to be able to add to my calendar those reminders which it does not. Also doesn't find all plants, had to add many!

4 ★ So, in general, it's a great app. And the pay for services are worth it. That said, it does not have a delete all or delete selected feature for the snap history of plants that you are not adding to your garden. As a result, if you are a prolific snapper, it can take you hours to upkeep the app as you have to manually delete each picture in the snap history. Already spent over 2 hours this morning doing this. And clearing the cache and data doesn't do it either as a tried work around.

1 ★ I love the app. So much fun. Kept my girls busy for hours while they were able to use it. I am willing to update my review to 5 stars after they fix the issue I'm having. I cancelled the subscription so I wouldn't forget about it and be charged with auto renewal a year from now. The subscription still says it goes through July of 2024-- but it won't let me use the app unless I "resubscribe" and I have to pay another $30 (on top of the $42 I already paid for the whole year)! WHAT?!

4 ★ it's a great app! I've had fairly good experiences with it, and I have found it to be very helpful. My only major complaint is, there are some difficulties for people who are totally blind and cannot see the screen. most of the buttons in the app are unlabeled, in a way that the phones screen reader can tell me what they are. that means, a lot of times I'm having to just tap around and try to figure out what each button does. would be great if they would fix the labeling issue!

3 ★ Please fix bugs. I have been using the app for years with no issues until recently. The reminders say that some of my plants in my garden have not been watered or fertilized for 19,000+ days but I have watered/fertilized them regularly. Also, I have not had some of my plants that long. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and it did not fix the issue. Looking for an alternative app until this gets fixed.

1 ★ I really enjoyed this app. When I found out I paid for 2 subscriptions for the same year, I cancelled both accounts that were taking my money. I was given a $4 credit which makes no sense to me. I expected a refund for a completed year that I was double charged. This is not acceptable... I hate someone else's fingers in my bank account.

4 ★ I'd rate 5 stars if not for the frequent pushing for the paid version (it doesn't make me want to pay, it's just obnoxious). That's my only complaint though, and I've experienced much worse freemium. Solid ID app, it's fun walking around my yard and pointing it at stuff. I love being able to know all about these plants with just a few taps :)

4 ★ Works pretty well. A few issues on underdeveloped plants (citrus in my experience) which is a hard one for anyone to tell until the tree is better developed. Would purchase full version is there was a one time cost, but not a fan of subscription services. Highly recommend you at least try this out. Works well for me.

4 ★ The app's plant identifier has been 95%-ish accurate so far. The additional plant care info has been somewhat helpful. Sometimes I wish it was more in depth or covered additional areas. Now that Google claims to have a similar function of identifying whatever you take a photo of, and since I pay them for other services, it may be to my financial advantage to use Google's [no charge] plant identifier. I'll be experimenting with that.

5 ★ I love this app! works much better than the app on my partner's i phone. It is great at identifying plants and is good at diagnosing problems too I was really surprised! I also like the fact that I can save the plants that are in my garden specifically so I can learn more about them and research them. Suggestion to Devs-I just wish I could also save a wish list of plants for the future. but I love this! I have tested It against other apps as well as Google reverse image search.

4 ★ I've been having fun using the app for my indoor plant hobby. I find it really helpful when trying to indentify new plants and how to care for them. I wasn't able to identify the Baltic blue pothos plant through this app and I think it would be nice to add some variation of plants or some way to add them to the app. It's great overall, I just think improvement could be made!

1 ★ Unfortunately I did the auto renewal & am no longer able to use the app after selecting this option. Hard to find contact information. I received a message on how to restore settings. I'm not sure it is even working. It definitely was easier for them to take my credit card payment than for me to renew this service. Received a good luck email when I asked for help.

5 ★ I LOVE THIS APP. I think I'll even pat the little 30 bucks for a whole year, it's a small price for a big hobby of mine, right. The Free app is fine, you can totally use this app for free, thiers a small "X" button in the top right it just hidden. But for me as someone who's trying to understand how to take care of my plants more, I think it's worth it!

4 ★ The paid version does not permanently store the plant pic on my phone.🤨 Thirty dollars a year is a bit steep for occasional use.🤑 You may need several shots to get the correct genus, and then you need to verify the correct species. Dont assume the app is always correct🫡. Most plants are toxic to some degree. 🤢 It's not easy to ID plants. For example,take maple trees,some are evergreen & some have leaves like posion ivy.This app is a good start at identifying the plants you see.
