La Palma, cundinamarqués municipality, has always been an emporium of greatness and a symbol of progress for the region and the department; coming to represent for all a sociocultural hope of great value and an economic pantry of regional and national relevance. Since time immemorial, there have been palmers interested in their municipality progressing and transcending within the departmental environment and becoming a model for others in the region. Little by little they were organized around social ideas of great value and importance for all, until they formed ASOPALMA: Asociación Amigos Unidos Por La Palma; whose basic social objective is to work for the welfare and progress of the region and of all its inhabitants.

Created in 1997, ASOPALMA, is a social context of great significance for the inhabitants of the municipality and although for prudence and discretion, has not made publicity display of their community work, constantly and in the head of its current legal representative LUIS EDUARDO MORENO SALAZAR, has been the manager, promoter and architect of various social coverage projects, from which all fields of citizenship have been supported; such as: education, health, justice, central administration, cooperatives of integral support, banking and commercial entities, community associations, police and national army, agricultural, livestock, coffee, security and social protection, among others.

Since its creation and non-profit, ASOPALMA has worked tirelessly to promote all aspects of municipal community life and supported in its project: Pro Paz Comunicaciones, transcending geographical limits, to carry to all corners, a voice of solidarity and a note of joy and hope.

Since yesterday, with JOSÉ ANTONIO GONZÁLEZ, as president, until today, headed by LUIS EDUARDO MORENO, the aim is to generate environments of solidarity and socio-cultural growth, through which the inhabitants of this important municipality grow and project themselves in time and in national history.
