Download the latest gschmöis application, version 1.2, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Education app is developed by Universität Zürich and is easy to download and install.
Previous versions, including 1.2, are also available. If you need help or have any problems, please let us know.
Description
Anyone can participate, who speaks Swiss German, whether native speakers or learners, whether young or old, and no matter what region you come from.

- The quiz
>>> A Quiz Round
A quiz round consists of nine questions. The last question is a round of the experts question where you can test your knowledge of other dialects and complement. Interesting, funny and unexpected words await you here.

Whenever you answer a question, you are led to the results of each question on a live map. Here you see how your neighbor speaks or as they say "ännet em Mountain".

App permissions
gschmöis 1.2 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to record audio.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
