Description
Want to know ahead of time if your train will arrive on time? Want to have quicker access to your ticket during ticket inspection? Want to be able to find your way better at the station and have reliable map information? We have good news for you! SBB Mobile can do it all. And much more.
The heart of the app is the new navigation bar with the following menu points and content.
Plan
• Plan your journey with a simple timetable search via the touch timetable or use your current position as the origin or destination, locating it on the map.
• Buy your ticket for the whole of Switzerland in just two clicks. Your travelcards on the SwissPass are applied.
• Travel particularly affordably with supersaver tickets or Saver Day Passes.
Trips
• Save your trip and we will provide you with all the information you need during your journey under ‘Single Trips’: everything from departure and arrival times, platform information and service disruptions to train formations and walking routes.
• Set up your personal commuter route under ‘Commuting’ and receive push notifications about rail service disruptions.
• The app accompanies you from door to door as you travel and you will receive information about delays, disruption and interchange times via push notification.
EasyRide
• Check in, hop on and head off – across the entire GA Travelcard network.
• EasyRide calculates the right ticket for your journey on the basis of the routes you travelled and charges you the relevant amount subsequently.
Tickets & Travelcards
• Show your public transport travelcards digitally with SwissPass Mobile.
• It also gives you an overview of your valid and expired tickets and travelcards on the SwissPass.
Shop & Services
• Buy regional transport tickets and Day Passes for the GA Travelcard area of validity quickly and easily without searching the timetable.

What permissions does SBB Mobile need and why?
Location
For connections from your current location, the GPS function must be activated so that SBB Mobile can find the nearest stop. This also applies if you want to have the nearest stop displayed in the timetable.
Calendar and e-mail
You can save connections in your own calendar and send them by e-mail (to friends, an external calendar). SBB Mobile requires read and write permissions to be able to import your desired connection into the calendar.
Access to the camera
SBB Mobile requires access to your camera to take pictures directly in the app for your personalised touch timetable.
Internet access
SBB Mobile requires internet access to search the timetable as well as for ticket purchases.
Memory
To support offline functions, e.g. station/stop list, connections (history) and purchased tickets, SBB Mobile requires access to your device’s memory (saving app-specific settings).

1 ★ Horrible apps, nothing works, plenty of "oophs errors", can't buy train tickets (never managed to buy s single ticket - spent hours!), even the rude ticket counter person at train station could not buy a ticket on the apps! Very poor user interface. Even worse for our foreign guests. A true national embarrassment. Take a look at how smooth and efficient DB tickets are offered. 3 clicks gets you a paid ticket with real time schedulreupdqste throughout the trip.
5 ★ It's always worked well for me and I like that I can buy my tickets at home without needing to leave extra time at the station. I'm not always happy with the timetables - you can't see alternate connections which make more sense, only what the algorithm gives you. For example it tells me to go to a tiny station with the bus, when I could leave 1 min earlier to get the bus to Baden and take the same train.
3 ★ Unreliable - sometimes it just doesn't show available train connections, Zürich Wiedikon to Horgen Oberstdorf, can't be too difficult .... Based on reply by SBB, thanks for the nice help : Yes, it was the bicycle filter. And sorry, also to me, a really good IT user, this setup does NOT make any sense. Using zvv online for example... doesn't have that filter (info on connection!), and far better filters for transfer /walking /waiting times 👍
3 ★ Would be great to have more intuitive sorting. The connections are sorted by departure, but really, what travelers (like me) are interested in is how to get there fastest. A train/bus that leaves later and gets you there earlier should therefore be listed first. Please implement an option for powerusers... Otherwise, speed has greatly improved over recent years and updates are mostly great, thank you.
1 ★ Absolutely awful for the fairtiq part of the app which fails regularly with embarrassing results every time. This is a rubbish service Frankensteined on to an otherwise amazing train scheduler. Update 07.06.2021 13.15 I just got a fine because this dreadful app failed again. So that's twice in a day and once each time I use it. SORT THIS OUT. Don't apologise for this and don't thank me for my understanding as I'm not accepting or offering either. You have a duty. Do your duty to the public.
1 ★ Why complicate matters I been trying to renew my pass and ended up buying the tickets ...it is not helpful
5 ★ The app is highly user friendly. You save time and avoid getting lost. Also you dont need to pass by any POS of offices to ask. Today on the train they gave me a gift voucher for my Birthday. Such an amazing company.
1 ★ Good for having all arrival and departure plans, but when i need to show my ticket this damn app stops working every single time. Had multiple moments where i almost got fined and also got a fine once.
1 ★ used to work very well and I really liked to use the app. But, since they added the ads my whole screen is overlayed by a black screen wih nothing but the Ad. Now it is useable!
2 ★ Trains get cancelled too often for the service to be reliable :/
3 ★ I don't like that the app from the Swiss Federal Railways contains ads, it's disturbing and consumes bandwidth.
2 ★ The "easy ride" rarely works any more since the last update.
1 ★ checkin ticket very unreliable after the last update. Do you even have quality control?
4 ★ The app is really useful and easy to work with. Only thing to change: resetting our parcour research when we switch apps for a sec is nerve wrecking after some time. Let us reset manually or let it reset when we leave the app. It would be better.
5 ★ Good app, but on some screen formats, the qr code of the ticket does not fit the screen and it is not possible to zoom out. The train and bus conductors were nagging at me because of this. Would give a 5 star otherwise. Edit: fixed, gave 5 stars!
