Download the latest ReactionFlash application, version 4.7.1, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Education app is developed by RELX Intellectual Properties SA and is easy to download and install.
Previous versions, including 4.7.1, 4.6, 4.5, are also available. If you need help or have any problems, please let us know.
Description
Designed and developed in consultation with Professor Dr. Erick M. Carreira of ETH Zürich, the app now covers over 1'200 named chemistry reactions. Professor Carreira has helped ensure that we have all the fundamental reactions that should be part of every chemist’s toolkit: from the best-known ones to the ones only Nobel Prize winners remember!
The app is designed like a set of flash cards so it can be used as a learning tool as well as a reference. Each ‘card’ shows the reaction, its mechanism and examples from peer-reviewed, published literature. It also has a quiz mode that lets you test your knowledge.
Linking into Reaxys enables you to find the most recent examples of each reaction, many with experimental details. 4 ★ Really a great application to all the chemists... It's very handy and acts like a digital copy of all the reactions' catalog... My only suggestion would be... It would've been very nice if one could view the starred reaction separately instead of going on searching for each and every starred reaction evertime in the same entire list...
5 ★ I don't think a useful tool like this comes free but then this free app with so much knowledge base is perfect gift to any chemist. Thank you for the latest update.
5 ★ This is really good, you get all reactions at a place which makes it really easy to review reactions while doing synthesis etc. Thanks to Developers for such nice and distraction free UI, and another big thanks sure Elsevier for sharing this huge data for free.
5 ★ really frickin good app my only reserve is the quizzing mode where it just gives a name. i think itd be cool to be able to see just a start and end compound or maybe where they give either reagent, main compound, or endpoint and give options. But really good as i can review any reaction happily
4 ★ Nice app ... But there is a problen with the orientation It automatically rotate from portait to landscape and vica versa without even rotating the phone .. I think there is some glitch or a bug..... Provide an update... Rest all is good and appreciable.....
5 ★ Edited: The app is behaving better now and I am finally able to enjoy its features. A very helpful app for studying for ochem! It would be nice, as someone else mentioned, to have more customisation ability but overall great.
5 ★ This app is f****** awesome!!! Edit- I noticed some dumbass in the review section think that the automatic rotation is a bug but its not. App rotates the screen automatically to maximize the reaction real estate.
4 ★ Excellent app but there is the problem of screen rotation in the app, it automatically goes to potrait mode after you click back from a reaction. (Not related :- Is there a desktop version of the app?)
5 ★ This is an amazing compilation of nearly all the reactions, from elementary to advance level also it included almost all the reactions that were in my course, which helped me as short notes
5 ★ This is quite an exceptional application for students majoring in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Chemical Engineering. It served me well in my organic chemistry 1 and 2 courses during my sophomore yr. of college.
4 ★ Would be excellent if there was an option to disable the auto-rotate feature - it can be pretty jarring to unexpectedly be sent into another view, and using the app lying down is currently not an option
5 ★ Awesome application die hard fan and organic chemistry enthusiasts and working lot with Synthetic chemistry to learn and explore Science. Best wishes for further development.
4 ★ slight problem with the orientation sensor ...keeps switch between portrait and landscape......only problem i found....otherwise a rather great app
3 ★ Nice start, but pls make it that can make lists so we can study specific groups of reactions. I dont need every reaction for my next exam / lab course (I mean that kinda possible with favourites, but more packs of reactions would be better)
5 ★ Thorough and precise in-depth explanations, descriptions, and depictions of many varying chemical reactions in simple, comprehensive, easily accessible form.
