1 ★ TERRIBLE. Too many negative aspects to list. I was hopeful, really great idea, but this is just a badly designed app.

4 ★ Why does it stop (maybe close) when I lock the screen?

4 ★ Please fix the bugs in lock screen notification or controls. No album art gets displayed and the control to seek or rewind the music is not working. After disabling the notification in the lock screen the default Android 11 media controls seem to work ok. Rest all the things are excellent and are working. 😃 Other music players like the xplore app music player is good, you guys may make it like that. 👍

1 ★ literally it's a meme, aimp allows importing music folders as a Playlist and allows updating it automatically, when you click the track its played, on this music player, no matter if you add to queue or tap to play etc nothing happens, and if you chose a track from a folder, it just queue that one track, not a whole folder, it's absolutely annoying to use and not worth of troubles edit it only play files from sd when you use play next lmao what a trash

4 ★ Its the best overall lightweight music player I could find in playstore. Also no ads ! WOW. Few things I would love to see changed are icons (they need to be more modern and with a bit of edge roundness) and the album arts, they should also be a bit rounded at the edges. Also the notification style should be changed (use the stock ui style or make a smaller notification style)

4 ★ It's an app for people looking for a straightforward experience, no mocking around. If you have a big library and don't like the idea of music as a service, this app is great. Pros: -Super straightforward, no quirks or gimmicks -Clean, fast and mostly intuitive UI -It works with external DACs and lossless formats -Add free and open source! Cons: -Some features are not very easy to find -Tag reader can be a bit buggy -No streaming funcionality (only reason that I think it's a 4 star)

5 ★ The app's good in all of its features and design. But for a mounth I've been struggling to make it scan my music files, so I reinstalled it from F-Droid several times with no results. Until I found out that the player is also on G. Play (and installed it from there) that bug, I suppose, let the app to scan my files / dissapeared.

1 ★ No ads thats good. As for the sound, not good. Give it a ten band equalizer and better fidelity sound reproduction.

4 ★ Almost perfect, but with one major burr. On the whole, Vanilla is a very fast, very light, and very clean media player. I really, really like it, and if my music libraries and tastes were a bit different, it would be perfect. However, it does not handle compilations well; it treats all contributing artists as independent artists, instead of grouping it all under the album artist! It's the only major issue I've had, but it's why I can't give 5 stars. Still really good, just not for my library.

5 ★ I'm not a fan of Google Play Music, and Vanilla Music is a great alternative, with lots of features you've come to expect. It has custom playlists, browsing by artist, album, or song, and gives you direct control of the play queue. It's everything I want in a music player without all the bloat of Google Play. If you're looking for a clean and simple music player, give Vanilla Music a shot!

4 ★ Small and handy, works gud

3 ★ This app has been my preferred mp3 player for many years. However my on new phone (LG-V35 Thinq running Android 8.0) the app won't start. I select Vanilla Music as the player I want to use and nothing happens. It still works great on my old phones (HTC One M8 & Samsung devices). I would gladly rate it a 5 if it would work on my new phone. In the meantime I continue to use it on my old phones and hope for a fix to this issue.

2 ★ For some reason the app closes (crashes?) unexpectedly and has been doing this for the last couple of versions. Feels like the more I play an album, the more the app dies. Play a new album and things are fine for a while. Haven't done any more research on this issue yet.. Otherwise Vanilla Music is the perfect music app for me, without any extra, wastefull bling bling features!

4 ★ The app is great as usual, but may I suggest that you add an option to warn overwriting a playlist, especially when full synchronization of playlists is enabled. I've had several precious playlists completely wiped out due to Vanilla music overwriting these playlists files with nothing due to unrecognized/modified/updated filepaths of the audio files.
