Download the latest YRT application, version 2.6.8, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Maps & Navigation app is developed by York Region and is easy to download and install.

Description
YRT’s mobile application enables you to search by route, address or stop number, as well as view service information for a specific stop, including the stop number, intersection, and scheduled and estimated arrival times. With its GPS integration, the app detects your current location and helps you find the closest bus stops to you.

App permissions
YRT 2.6.8 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

5 ★ It's much better than the YRT realtime map website. The only restriction is that it's not available on the older generations of Android. My dad's phone is running on 7.0 and can't install it or see it in the play store.
1 ★ not a good app, bus timings are always wrong, the ammount delayed is always very inaccurate, many timea the bus will say it has arrived but will not come at all. Really need to fix alot of things.
5 ★ Good app lets you star your fav stops for future. Pretty hard to understand at first but when you get used to it. It's best. In terms of accuracy it's not fully accurate.
1 ★ It worked the first time but for what ever reason it no longer finds any buses or stops. Definitely needs to be debugged.
3 ★ The websites shuts down randomly, preventing me from getting to where I want to go. It's great when it works, it's just that when it's down I can't go anywhere.
1 ★ Plan a trip doesn't at all - it just says "can't load search results" every time. This is true regardless of whether I'm on wifi or data. It used to work.
1 ★ How hard is to show the real physical location of the bus??? Every time the app can show my current physical location accurately but for the bus it shows only potential location from schedule. Come on guys this app is a joke.
2 ★ After the UI overhaul, several app crashes and high battery usage was detected by the Samsung Galaxy S9. Starred stops now fail to save which is a hassle.
1 ★ It's supposed to show the real time location of a bus, but instead shows a scheduled location, which is totally wrong when there are delays
1 ★ Useless. I've been at this stop for 10 minutes. App says the bus just came and is on time. The stop's digital display says 5 more minutes. (which probably means 10)
3 ★ Sometimes doesn't connect to the internet. Like right now as I am looking for when the next bus is coming for school nothing shows up and says Im not connected even though i am and Im home using wifi. How would I be writing this review if I wasn't connected?
2 ★ good for searching pending arrivals at stations selected on map but trip planner does not work whatsoever.
1 ★ Garbage app. Times are always off when the stops decide to load.
1 ★ unpredictable. it says bus coming in 8 minutes, meanwhile it comes in 20 minutes. worst app ever
