1 ★ I need to be able to set port forwarding, for RDP connection from work, but app does not show any devices in that setting. They should have left port forwarding in the gateway portal. Doesn't even allow me to create profiles. This is the second BlueCurve modem with the same issues. Made sure devices are only on IPv4, and countless time spent with tech support, and resets.
1 ★ The internet is glitchy. The app rarely works. I have random devices that constantly stop working and can't get internet. Blue curve causes way more hassle than it helps. You spend more time fixing it than to manually connect and disconnect your devices. We don't even use the features anymore for that reason and bluecurve still prevents devices from randomly accessing internet. We also have to reset it every week. Why? Glitches. Save yourself the hassle. Go anything but shaw.
2 ★ Seems OK, in the initial stages right now and it's frustrating. For example I am interested in setting up my home internet, but, it doesn't direct me how to do it and I see all the other services and sales I am not interested in.
3 ★ App resets and freezes more often then it works. Hard to troubleshoot shoot poor connection when the app won't open if your WiFi is slow. So far the only use I've found in the app is to reset your gateway. If you've used any other Shaw app it has the same performance.
1 ★ Awful app. Brutal design. Not intuitive at all and does not work well. On the admin screen for example an important field is cutoff and shows "..." so it's unclear what the field is for. I expect much better from a company like Shaw.
1 ★ I can't even login. They want me to call a number & wait on hold. The expensive new router sucks, the speed sucks, the app sucks even worse. It's like they're not even trying. Just glad I'm not in a contract.
3 ★ Very buggy, freezes out of the blue, and non-intuitive. I usually don't rate an app low as i am very choosy. But i have been disappointed with both Shaw's internet as well as this app.
1 ★ Took away the options for advanced user's. Thee only thing worth time on this app..you can only prompt a reset of your gateway, this is bad news for streamers or anyone looking to optimize internet connection strength. Wawawa....strict connection....
2 ★ The app and gateway have less functionality and responsiveness than I'd like. I'm an IT pro and I have added a dozen computers to my home network in the last week and was notified about one. The gateway doesn't allow firewall customization as I'd like. I'm going to need a third party firewall to get the function I need. i.e. changing my DNS servers to preferred non-shaw DNS.
1 ★ App worked for a couple of weeks after signing up with Shaw. The Profile Highlights and Network Activity were visible on the overview page of the App. However, these features have not worked in the last one month. I have spoken to 3 Shaw technical Reps and have advised to reset my modem, delete the cache memory & data storage of the App on my phone, delete the App and reinstall but still the same issue. No one has been able to figure out why these features suddenly disappeared!
3 ★ Overall pretty good. It takes a bit of adjusting to and setting up. I like the ability to toggle on and off user. Good with kids to limit online time.
5 ★ This is an excellent app to monitor the devices connected to your home network. I encourage you to turn on the protected browsing for the network safety.
1 ★ A complete waste of space on your device. Got Shaw Fibre + Gig, and now the Blue Curve Home app won't display the Home Network Activity. Absolutely need that function so I can limit my kids Device times.
3 ★ Fine, I guess, does what I need it to do. Though I wish there was options for scheduling the pausing of devices, or other increments to choose from.
2 ★ Not very intuitive. Clunky and hard to work with yet so much is locked down and the app is supposed to make it easier.
