Functions
Using your Network access permissions, the My Shaw app will:
• View connection information and see available Wi-Fi connections to enable the app to connect to the Wi-Fi network;
• Detect the network state, read the device status, detect running apps, view app history and identity to implement network preference.
Using your Photo/Media/Files and Storage permissions, the My Shaw app will:
• Enable you to view a PDF of your bill
• Test access to protected storage for the purpose of facilitating user data retrieval and use of content for registered devices to facilitate technical assistance should network access be denied and to increase the application productivity.
Using the Prevent Device from Sleeping permission, the My Shaw app will:
• Enable push notifications used during Support Chats
Using your device’s fingerprint scanner, the My Shaw app will:
• Link your fingerprint profile to your Shaw account via the app for authentication purposes
Using the payment extension request, the My Shaw app will:
• Send you an email confirmation

My Shaw 1.15.44-385 APK requires following permissions:

1 ★ Chat for support doesnt load. Been waiting 6+ hours for the "still loading your messages" to go away so i can request help. Force stopped the app, restarted phone, uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing helped. Oh, but my bill came in no issue!
1 ★ If I could give it a zero I would. Like everything with Shaw it sucks. Have Uninstalled and reinstalled over and over. Still won't connect to my account. Shaw tech support says they can't see any problem with the account, must be server error, try again later. Hope service gets better when Rogers takes over.
3 ★ I like that they are using an app now but it's so bloated with useless stuff that just send you to their website and is mildly annoying, and you don't actually have any controll over your account just that you can check your statements easier and pay your bills without calling the rest is kinda of useless to the average person.
2 ★ Horrible. Figure your app out shaw. Chat future gets stuck in a loading loop from previous help chats and I have to uninstall and reinstall each time to use the help chat future. When you choose the Facebook Messenger option it loads up the app store to download Facebook Messenger even though it's already installed on my device. Pay someone to setup a proper app with the price you charge for internet I'm sure you can afford it.
1 ★ Auto payments aren't so auto, every time this app updates I get kicked out of my account and my password won't work so I have to keep resetting it, and unfortunately I don't find this out until my account is 2 months overdue because the update turns off auto payments and doesn't tell me. This also caused my rate to go from 30 a month to 70 a month.
1 ★ The new Shaw TV boxes don't allow you to check your purchase history or view what movies are currently rented so you can watch them again you have to go through the whole list to find the movie you rented. Telus does this way better.
1 ★ If only 0 stars was possible thats what it would get. Working worse all the time. Very unreliable no matter how much you pay. Shaw mobile is even way worse can't wait till they sell maybe whoever buys it will fix it
1 ★ It would literally be faster to walk to your closest shaw store and talk to someone if you're having problems (which you almost certainly are with this company) even if the nearest store happens to be 100km away... Useless
5 ★ It is simply the best. So easy and intuitive to use. Signs me in automatically. Places my current bill on first screen. Autopay is so easy to set up with no more forgotten bill payments. I highly recommend getting and using this App.
2 ★ Your chat function is terrible. It goes blank and I can't retrieve my conversation forcing me to end the session and starting all over again. It's frustrating.
1 ★ garbage, after the stupid update, can not even find the basic icon to restart the ALWAYS NOT WORKING and NEEDED TO BE RESET INTERNET ! stop making any changes if you have no idea about what should be done
1 ★ Mid chat I repeatedly get disconnected when I fill in a form I've been asked to complete...app should take me back to chat... But it does not. It's just blank after completing the form. Terrible experience.
1 ★ Worst experience ever...for a technologies provider you would expect a better experience in doing business through their app. I've tried 3 times to cancel some theme packages and it's been painful. I get connect on chat, make connection with a rep but not one can help me!
3 ★ ➕ Payments are easy, and all info is there about my account. Very convenient during the pandemic. ➖ It seems like the text and info is too large for my mobile screen. Things are squished or put into 2 lines. And some info is completely cut off i.e. due date.
2 ★ Terrible internet lately. Seems to turn to trash every spring for a month or so. No support available, won't even load a chat window in app... glad I have telus coverage and service with my cell, cause Shaw is currently trash
