1 ★ I can live with cosmetic bugs -- and believe me, there are a lot of them -- but this app is TRULY awful at a system level. All it does is stream video. It doesn't record or transocde anything. How is it that streaming just over an hour of "live CBC Newsworld" that my system reports show that the app is using OVER 37GB of virtual memory? "Live CBC Newsworld doesn't allow rewind play at all -- only pause, which we rarely use -- and yet, somehow, It never releases memory. I have to reboot my Android TV system after EVERY. SINGLE. USE. of this app because the overall system performance ends up so terrible nothing else runs properly. Fix it, please. (I say this a premium subscriber who is paying you for your content.)
3 ★ I wish I didn't crash during commercials and it saved my list of shows I was watching. It should be the same quality as channel 3 but it's not so disappointed. Why would I pay for premium when I don't have a choice on channel 3 to do this?
2 ★ Watching streamed content works pretty well and there's a variety of things to watch. There could be more content, especially from CBC produced shows. The live stream feature is horrible and constantly crashes and freezes while trying to stream content like local News, it's unwatchable. I tried to contact CBC through the app but they just sent me an unhelpful message about a month later that just acknowledged my issues without offering to help
2 ★ App leaves a lot to be desired. Poor navigation while viewing. trying to scroll back 30 seconds takes you back to the previous commercial break & forces you to watch 4 more. Which really wouldn't be so bad if you had more than two. Same 2 commercials back-to-back is frustrating at the sixth repeat
2 ★ Worst app ever! Constant, (I mean 6 or 7 times during one 50 minute program) stalls and full stops. Near constant lag ranging from a few seconds to literally minutes. No matter the time of day, same problems. NEVER have these issues with other streaming apps. Quit during free trial. I would never pay for this!
2 ★ I was really enjoying this app until the last update. Now it keeps kicking out. I start watching a show and 10 - 15 minutes in the thing just drops. And when I try to get it back it jumps ahead and I have missed the middle of the show. Don't bother with this app.
2 ★ App keeps dropping. Says playback is unavailable. Also, unlike other streaming apps, it does not keep playing if you want to open something else. Doing a free trial now and will not be renewing after the trial.
1 ★ It pains me to give this 1 star but the most prominent flaw is that for shows, I see episodes I've watched in the past and not the next episode I want to watch. That makes no sense and other streaming apps do this correctly. Per show, please show the current or next episode. This also applies to the Fire app.
1 ★ I love getting all the great CBC content on this app, and I honestly don't mind watching a few ads to keep it free. But the volume on the ads is so much higher than the programming making it hard to watch. We can hear the commercials just fine without artificially increasing their volume.
1 ★ I have been having problems accessing any up to date content lately. Please invest in your web design & accessibility. I have to check your competitors web sites instead but I'd rather use my public broadcaster.
1 ★ For an app that wants to charge a monthly subscription, it does not function well. Ads stall the app, and it will not re-load back to where you were forced to quit. Poor design.
3 ★ I have no problem with having to watch a few ads in order to keep the content that is available free. I only wish that it would remember where I was in the show I was watching. There have been so many times that I was watching a show, I would have to stop it and deal with something that in my life, but when I would return to the show, I would have to scrub through in order to find out where I left off. It's moderately frustrating and would be nice if it could be improved.
4 ★ great app, its missing couple of features that should have. a rating system of what you watch so CBC knows if you liked what you watched. other is year of production.
1 ★ Updated. App is still very unstable. CBC also does not prioritize getting their new content online fast enough. As an example, Rosemary Barton Live is always a week behind. I want to see content that day or the day after the new episode aired.
1 ★ Horrible app...unsubscribing again. I come back every now and then but the issues remain. Not only does it constantly crash on my Chromecast but often hangs the device to tje point where I have to power cycle it. The very worst of any streaming app I use or have used.
