Download the latest SD Scanner application, version 3.0.1, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Tools app is developed by Burrows Apps and is easy to download and install.

5 ★ Yesss!!!! This app did exactly what I needed it to! Somehow a ".nomedia" file was placed on the root of my SDCard and as a result all of my music files no longer showed in my Music Player and my images no longer showed in the Gallery. I found this App from a link on forum. Downloaded it, fired it up, started a scan, and within a few minutes all of my media files were showing up again. Kudos to Jared of Burrows Apps!
5 ★ I don't know why but suddenly my music and gallery weren't displaying my media files lept in sd card. After getting suggestion from google I installed this sd scanner. First I was confused how it works. After completing the scan just be patient. Don't switch of your phone nor restart. Wait for it, like 15 minutes (in case of mine). Like magic media files will reappear again. That's all happened to me. Long live developer. 😊
1 ★ It won't work. None of my media is showing up where it's supposed to. My songs won't show in the music player and all the pictures I saved from pinterest and other apps used to show up in my gallery but they stopped, and so I tried this app. But it didn't work for the pictures either
5 ★ Perfect! However, there is one issue. I am using a Pixel 2 XL (which uses Android Oreo (8.1.0) and using the default launcher (Pixel Launcher) and the Rescan SDCard widget this app provides shows a grey box saying "Problem loading widget" when I add it to the homescreen. I hope you can fix this. Otherwise, thank you for making this awesome app!
5 ★ I don't usually give reviews, but I'm beyond happy right now. I spent months looking for exactly this app. Google Play Music wouldn't update unless I had restarted my Nexus 5. Know it all works like a charm with the press of a button. Thank You!
