This application combines sounds, letters, pictures and reports to manage the process and the development of student learning and aims to stimulate some phonological awareness skills.

The PRO Palma works with literacy in Portuguese language and consists of:

Level 1 - Alphabet (26 letters, 173 words and 77 phrases)
Level 2 - Simple Syllables (218 Syllables, 174 words and 184 phrases)
Level 3 - Syllables Complex (268 Syllables, 131 words and 137 phrases)
Level 4 - Universe Enlargement vocabulary (431 words and 417 phrases in 30 categories)
Level 5 - Reading And Small Of Understanding Texts (192 phrases and 34 texts in 30 Categories)

For the development of Levels 1, 2 and 3 are the day-to-day words used to facilitate understanding and recognition of these in different contexts and the development of analysis and synthesis skills in the formation of new words.

As for the development of Levels 4 and 5, the starting point is semantic categories based on concrete and problem-solving situations (on topics such as Family Relationships, Society, Consumption, Work, Sport and Recreation), to provide the student / patient to establish relations that make their significant learning and to enable it to therefore understand and reflect on the content addressed, effectively taking ownership of knowledge and acquiring the necessary autonomy to exercise citizenship.

Methodological rationale:
The PRO Palma is based on the synthetic approach to literacy and the principle stimulation of some phonological awareness skills such as analysis and phonemic synthesis, syllabic and vocabulary. The activities are developed through the association of graphemes with the corresponding phonemes in both the auditory modality as visual.
Knowledge of the verification process occurs during the performance of activities. This process is accompanied by reports on the device itself.

Activities Integrators / Games
At the end of an assembly, the student / patient performs an Integrating activity as game.

Evaluation activities
At the end of the modules of a level (alphabet, syllables Simple, Complex Syllables, Vocabulary Expansion and Reading and Interpretation of Texts) there is an assessment activity that allows scanning of the entire working content.
